So Cal MB Dealer Experience

Does any one have good (quality) experience from Socal MB dealers? Specifically good SA and the good moral technician.
My car was in for basic 1yr/10K service at Mercedes of Anaheim. The car was driven for 6 miles with MPG dropped from 23 to 17, the steering wheel angle was off as well. Of course the SA had no idea what's going on and never follow up. Now, with my door panel came off with a pull from closing the door, I would like to see if anyone has good experience at your Socal MB dealer and would recommend he/she.
Much appreciated in advance.

MPG drop could be due to idling. However, why did they need to put 6 miles on the odometer for a basic service -- any warranty work done? When you took delivery after the service, the steering wheel is not centered and it was when you dropped it off? Did they do an alignment...if they did then tech failed to properly center the steering wheel before it was aligned...make them do it again.. Otherwise, that means it was knocked out of alignment while they had possession -- that shouldn't happen? You need to call the service manager and discuss it. Door panel falling off is not normal...the fact it did this after you had it serviced is curious.

Now this goes back to late 1990's. Lived in Orange Cty and took my C280 several times to Anaheim. Service then was spotty at best. Ended up using a dealer in Buena Park and got much better service.

Over several years, we have had good service from Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach. The are the largest MB dealership in the USA.

Yes. It was House of Imports. But that experience was from years ago, with a C280 from Hades. Took me a long time to return to MB after that car.

No other work was done, no alignment, no other warranty work done. It was for the basic oil change and visual inspections and updates-if any. My family has been using Mercedes of Anaheim back then when it was called Caliber Motors. But since MB start selling vehicles sub C-class & the equivalent SUV/CUV/XUVs the overall quality of its cars & overall dealer service quality have been gone down the hills....You just don't feel its "premium" dealer/brand anymore...Don't get me wrong, I was extremely impressed with the new generations of the MB cars & SUVs (after all, that is why I purchased the GLE when it first came out last year.) up to this point... lol

Had a pretty horrible experience at HOI lately. They used to be good, but I will not take my car again after my last time with them. I used to frequent foothill ranch and they've been always pretty good and down to earth. Fletchers have one of the better techs I found in the area and this is most likely due to them being the largest dealer in the area. So if you're looking at solving any issues that aren't common I would give them a try as well. It takes a lot for me to recommend Fletchers because I never had a good experience with them the past decade until recently when they fixed my wind noise after taking the car in for a week and test driving it 100+ miles to fix it. None of the other dealers in the area (Anaheim, HOI) would even try to fix it and blew me off by saying it was a characteristic sound (clearly wasn't). Fletcher went above and beyond for me on this one and I think I will go there from now on, since they're also the closest to me.

If you're looking at regular maintenance I don't really think it matters too much.

I recommend using Jerry at DTLA Motors service. Such a nice guy and knowledgeable. I've used him for years.
