Main Screen Black out
Just experience black out on the main screen while driving and i did not touch any button.
Is there an option to shut down the main screen?

Stop the engine and lock the car and restart the engine, same situation to the screen.
Do I miss anything here?
Or i need to send to dealer to check?

When mine did that they replaced the MBUX Control unit. I think it’s located under the passenger seat. I had some other strange symptoms before it died...one was a Nav route disappearing mid trip.

Do you think its safe to continue driving?
I dont see any effect on the engine, its just that i can see the speedometer, thus need to depend on waze speed.

There was no other Issue with mine. I think I drove for a week or two while they ordered the controller and scheduled the appointment.

It works normal the next day.
Will ask them to update latest software when its due for 1st servicing.

Just for those with this issue, my car had this, and an update to FUP2 did not resolve it.

What eventually did fix it was an update to the Burmester audio system.

Strange but true (at least in my case).
