2021 GLE63S arrival

My GLE63S finally arrived after 10 months and I picked it up today. Didn't have much time to take decent pics but here's a few that I snapped. The smoke from the wildfires doesn't help the pictures much either. So far, I'm happy with the purchase so no complaints.

Looks pretty sweet! Noticed just now that there is a small difference in the bumper fascia design, the GLE63S has a little extra

Yes, there's also a small radiator located there. Not exactly sure what it's for but on my old ML63, it was a transmission cooler I believe.

Awesome car. I have a GLE63S coming as well with the exact same interior as you. I've really been regretting not getting the carbon fiber steering wheel option but it's too late now. Any particular reason you decided to leave that option out? Maybe you can help make me feel a little better about it haha.

I didn't order the carbon fiber steering wheel because I thought in the summer it would be too hot to touch. I've had wooden steering wheels in past cars (Jaguar XJR recently) where I've almost burned my hands after parking out in the hot sun.

I'm actually disappointed with the steering wheel on this car. It's actually thinner than my old ML63 and I don't care for the shape either. In my old car, it was much thicker and had nice indents for your thumbs when holding the wheel at the 3 and 9 position. This wheel feels cheaper and is oddly shaped in my opinion.

oahzy, getting a new wheel is easier than you think but not as cheap as you'd like.

Great looking GLE for sure.

Yea during the test drive the wheel felt oddly thin and cheap for such an expensive car. I tried the carbon steering wheel and for some reason that felt more thicker and higher quality. Doesn't make any sense but that was the feeling I got.which is why I'm kicking myself.

I actually asked the dealer just out of curiosity. $4000 for the carbon wheel not including labor lol. Really kicking myself for not taking the $400 option.
