New 2021 GLE front seats MB-Tex upholstery looks "loose"
My car just arrived from the factory yesterday and I inspected it today. Front seats MB-Tex upholstery looks "loose". Is this acceptable for a new seats or I should complain?

I think they look OK - mine are leather and also look a bit loose after you sit in them for a while - they spring right back into shape afterward. I think it is more noticeable in cooler temperatures as the material is less flexible. (Great color and wood choice, by the way - congrats on the new GLE!)
I agree with “They’re loose And its normal” and “Does Mercedes care, No” 100%. Excellent points Chassis! Maybe about 50% with “Par for the course with Mercedes”

I don't think it acceptable, but the problem is I doubt any dealer fix is going to be better. I would be tempted to consult with an independent quality upholstery shop on what fixes there might be. Yours looks good compared to this: https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...ml#post8192205
@GregW / Oregon What is exactly going on in that picture? The center is a little stretched looking on the left bottom side but, excuse this comment, it looks like “leg grease“ (Self tanner, been mowing the yard and then got into the car, post hot yoga workout got into the car) has severely stained the bottom center.
Not trying to be mean, but it just looks severely dirty already. Or is it just the camera angle?

This is when it was brand new, so definitely not dirty. The Dinamica material is velour-like so looks different depending on the light angle and intensity. Here is another view taken at the same time; the seat on the left does look "dirty: in the photo, but is exactly like the one on the right.
We have the equivalent Ultra Suede/leather (Alcantera) in our SQ5 Audi & at 3 1/2 years, 39k it looks like new. Warmer in the winter & cooler in summer so I rarely use the heated seats. I would pick it over leather except for the color options/MB Tex.

I have leather and it’s the same loose fit. In fact the dealer replaced it the first time but the same issue came back. Unacceptable for an $80k suv but not much can be done
Yes it does.
Many times, leather can be massaged into place and it'll like its new, relaxed position.
I spend time with my new cars, working with the leather, making sure the seams are lying flat etc. Including some high-end restoration work.
Leather is a natural product, and sometimes you need to convince it to stay where you put it

My seats are starting to look loose in the bottoms also. At delivery I pointed out to the Dealer that the bottom cushion was concave rather than convex like my 2020 GLE 450. The leather was tight when new but the leather sat 1/4” to 3/8” above the cushion. In other words I could press down that distance before contacting the cushion. Too many Mercedes seats have other flaws.

That looks like something was not made to spec. Cushion and/or cover.

My seats are approaching a year now, and so far nothing like this.
Simply stated, your seats are defective and do not meet minimum standards for acceptability. They cannot be repaired, your issue can only be resolved by replacement. Unlike the original post, the gentleman who began this discussion, I felt that his seats were acceptable, not perfect. Hopefully, if you are persistent, MB will do the right thing and establish a satisfied customer, which is something MB should strive to achieve. Good luck, and please keep us posted.
