Trying to place an order for a GLE 450 but comfort package is not available

Trying to place an order for a GLE 450 but comfort package is not available
My dealer tried to place an order for a fully loaded GLE 450 today but it looks like the comfort package is not available at the moment? Has anybody faced this? I asked my dealer to try again in a week or two hoping it will be available then. Is that likely or does it mean it will not be available for the rest of the year?

Since you are in Canada I’m going to assume you have something specifically called “comfort” package. I’m not familiar with that for the US but if it involves either the distronic or multi contour seats, that is probably what is kicking it out. A SM i spoke to the other day said they could not order anything with those two options right now.

Yes, you are correct. There is, however, a modified Comfort Package available (code DZ1) which includes the ventilated seats and air balance. Naturally, it's less expensive - $1,000 less.
I decided the massage and multi-contour seats weren't worth delaying my order. I have had them in four of my Lincolns and think I've used the massage maybe twice in all those years. My Aviator has 30 way multi contour and everything is deflated - might mean something for small-framed and/or shorter people, but I am neither of those things.

Hmmm I had not heard of an availability issue with Distronic. I specifically asked the sales manager I was dealing with to confirm all of my desired features will be available for my order, which is only lacking a few features, and he reported that the only constraint right now is the multi-contour seats.

I can't speak specifically to the Comfort Package (which I didn't order), but I had to wait about 6 weeks for the Airmatic option to become available before my 450 order could be placed last week. I suspect it is parts inventory shortage that has been common for various parts for last year or so and will get resolved shortly.
