Easier if you configure the SUV you want on MBZ website save it email to all your local dealers tell them that you’re looking for that specific SUV you put together and see who responds that will give you the best service/pricing. Minimum Add 1k to base price Don’t expect any discounts.

I just visited the links you posted to the 22 configurators.

They seem to be live, working, and updated with current info.

I do not recall posting any configurator links. I checked MBUSA.com and it's still showing 2021. I expect they will be updated to 2022 for the GLE very soon since you can buy them now.

Oops - you posted a .pdf file for the 2022 Order Guide, not a configurator. Threadstarter for this thread.

When will the 2023 order guide be published? Will it be for the facelifted GLE?

No idea, but facelift/new model order guides are never published before the public reveal.

  • Update: As you are aware, MBUSA is experiencing challenges with the availability of semiconductor components due to the worldwide shortage. This has caused the addition and/or removal of certain options on vehicles. A summary of recent changes is below:
    • On GLE 450W4, revised version of AMG Line (DQ3) replaces DG1. No visible changes to AMG body styling. Codes B16 and U68 removed with functional exhaust now on one side only.

1. Does this result in a price reduction?
2. What will this do to performance?

1. For the package it's in, I am sure it will reduce the price.
2. Not sure.

1. I doubt it.
2. If power were reduced MB would need to republish specs - I doubt it. Also, we know the specs without Sport Exhaust are the same.

So it is exactly as I feared. My MSRP sheet has that DQ3 code with an accompanying cost reduction. Originally the price was $3250 for the package but is now $2900.

With the removal of the dual exhaust pipes (Code B16), does this mean my OCD will go into overdrive because I have to stare at a hole with no exhaust on one side of the vehicle ? Or does this mean there will only be a single exhaust on each side?

I can live with a single exhaust on each side, but a gaping hole, not so much!

Additional info or pictures would very much be appreciated and maybe allow me some sleep

Would help to know where in the process you are and what you ordered. This single post makes it hard to help and no one has pics because those cars have not rolled off the line to dealers yet.

GLE 450 4MATIC 2022
Our dealer just received our GLE 450 4Matic built on 2/23/22 which was delayed until 3/22/22. The invoice still shows the DG1 option Not the revised DQ3.

My guess is you get a single exhaust pipe on the left side like the next to last pic in this post: https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...ml#post8516534. Hopefully you still get an open port on the right side, and not a blank off, which looks dumb. If you have ports both sides it's hard to see the actual pipes which terminate behind them.

My vehicle is currently in the build process, was told that it will be completed 1st week of April with a delivery date of mid to late April. I ordered the 450 with the AMG exterior, but code changed to DQ3 from DG1 which is why I brought up the question as to what it is going to look like.

Also my question was in hopes of targeting those who have the same DQ3 code and have recently taken delivery.

Thanks for the link, I do hope it is a single exhaust on each side. That I can live with

I would imagine this will affect builds that happen in March and later. Unfortunate for me. Congratulations on taking delivery of your vehicle and luckily not having to deal with the exhaust issue. Beautiful color combo by the way! Thank you for the response as well

Sorry to hear that you have to deal with another shortcoming as well. My guess is that since the original sports exhausts have dual pipes on each side, they will only remove one from each side. If they go with the single exhaust on each side, I think I will be ok with that. I just hope they do not go with a single exhaust on one side and nothing on the other. I think the only purpose of the second exhaust with the sport exhaust was for the operational flap.

So I think it will go from this:

To this:

That would be my best guess

That would make a ton of sense especially since there must be some chips involved in that flap system. That would not bother me at all. I don't care about sport sounds on a non AMG GLE personally.

As per the original post by Eaton:

The Sport exhaust had 4 tubes total with 2 operational flaps (One on each side). Since the sport exhaust has been removed from DG1 code (now DQ3), the pictures in my mind make sense. Still get one functional flap, so you have to have another pipe should that flap be closed
