I just bought a late 2019 GLE 450 4matic. It has the 360 Camera as well as augmented reality MBUX.

i have a park assist button but the dealer tells me it doesn’t have the auto parking option. I was wondering whether I have all the sensors needed already and if so if just a code could activate the feautre?

also given the sensors installed on the car what other options could be unlocked?

What country are you in? That has an impact on what other options can be unlocked. A 2019 GLE in North America is not a V167 model but in some other countries V167 shows as a 2019 so you may be on the wrong thread. Add country info to your profile and we may be able to answer.

 

im in Europe and it’s definitely a 167.

 

There’s a guy in Romania (Vlad) that does some custom coding but Park Assist is not likely. It’s not that great anyway. You might Google for a review…it only works when the stars line up just right. As I recall there has to be a car on either side and then the procedure is a little touchy. If you have the cameras and top view, parking the old fashioned way is easy.

 

There's a very helpful guy in North London (UK) who provides coding options, plus some retrofit. Also has a dongle based service for remotely coding vehicles - I've used him a couple of times and it works seemlesly. He has a website https://rjautomotive.net/

 

Although the dealership SAYS it does not have the auto park option, have you tried it for yourself? Only reason why I ask is because I have had a similar thing happen to me where the car had a certain option even though the dealership said the car did not have it.

 

well took delivery today and lo and behold it did have auto park assist.

What it doesn’t have is keyless Go abs I was wondering whether that is a retrofit which could be done?

 

It happens, a lot of dealerships do not know what they are selling, especially used cars. I am glad you did end up with the auto park assist. I do not believe Keyless Go can be retrofitted. But does your GLE not have a push button start, or are you not able to enter the GLE with the key in the pocket, or both? It's strange that MB would not have that standard on their GLEs no matter the market. On a C, CLA, GLA, etc it would make sense but not the GLE.
