Looks like it’s my turn

Order input in Netstar by SA; Allocation available; Order Accepted by MB; Order Locks to changes…then the wait. Normally your car would be built as accepted but a few have had options removed before the actual build. I’d be optimistic if DAP is still there, they should have a better feel for the supply chain now.
Besides the new MBUX apilevel/ntg6/081 software and sound system software update, there was a 48v Software update which was performed.
Not sure what it does as I have had no problem but here's hoping it solves this seemingly ongoing problem.

All of these updates were performed art the dealership.
Mercedes me said there were no updates to anything so (at least in Australia) these are all dealership provided.
See attached screenshot of invoice portion.

The fact my Vehicle was build 31/03/21 gives me the perception that this is a second wave, relating to the issue, or it is a completely different type of control unit update.
Nevertheless it is, to me, an interesting document.

Thanks for your note.
I saw that the campaign I referenced was associated to 388 vehicles, this is why I mentioned it may relate to a second wave.

“I haven't heard of any 48v failures after replacement. When the 48v battery is replaced there is new software installed to prevent it from doing what it did on your vehicle. The only way I can see a new battery failing is if the person installing it didn't follow the proper replacement procedure.“
The first notice was about the air suspension. Then that. It does start and ran fine before I shut it down.

It happens. I'm sure they are gonna take care of me and it will be fixed soon. Hopefully the loaner is decent 😂.
As far as loaner goes, don’t hold your breath on getting something good although YMMV. Mine didn’t have one at first either, but they had a C300 freed up later in the day they gave me. I’m not a small guy (6’ 1” and 235 lbs). When I got into the C300 I felt like I was falling into it since it’s so much lower than my GLE lol. I was certainly missing my car while I had it, but was happy to get a loaner.

As far as getting something good as a loaner, I just don't want something bad as a rental. As long as the tires are fresh it's all good 😉.
