V167 - 2020 GLE450
Yellow/Amber Thermometer Dashboard Icon

Just wondering if anyone has experience this?

Got the Yellow/Amber Thermometer Dashboard Icon and CEL yesterday. Scanned the CEL and got U02A9 but found nothing on it.

Thanks

What car do you have? You are on the V167 forum, and that looks like the right control panel, but your info say W166 Bluetec. Anyway, this is from the V167 manual:

Go to the Service menu and check "messages."
See if the message is still there.
As a "general rule," if the icon is steady it's a warning - and if it's flashing, stop.

V167 - 2020 GLE450
Thanks guys! I forgot to update my profile. It is a 2020 GLE450.

I scheduled to drop it off at the dealership so i'm just wondering if it's safe enough to drive there. I'll check out the messages in the Service Menu.

First thing is to check your coolant level.

I had same issue yellow coolant light would come on after driving on S mode and putting car in park. Checked checked coolant level looked fine to me but took it in and S/A said it was a little low on coolant so they added some on so far been ok.
Now Checked on oil display couple of days ago it reads on the middle before the last 6 months it would be on Max.
Guess this guy gets thirsty after awhile?
I do miss having a dip stick.

Took it to the dealership and they replaced the Low Temperature Circuit Pump 1 due to an internal mechanical defect. All good now. Thanks guys

That’s something I’ve never seen or known about.

I thought it worked this way (I haven’t read the newer manual to know though) from being told a few years ago. If it’s yellow then just get it to the dealership. If it’s red, stop and have it towed.
Either way I’ve been in a MB car before and drove for miles with a flashing yellow light and even had techs and the service manager drive it around flashing.

Just to add to this thread for others, I had this same warning come up a few days ago.

Firstly the info button was useless, the online user manual basically returned a page not found message which was super unhelpful.

Took the car to the dealer and they found a stored voltage fault for the battery, and the cooling fan not turning on. The battery had given me a low voltage warning that same day, so the dealer changed out the battery.

I guess the warning can mean many different things, but would have been good for the online manual to actually provide some useful information beyond that page not found.

We had this same problem - it happened while the car was idling for a couple of minutes in the Texas heat.
The cause was the sensor wires were reversed. Dealer identified and solved.
