Services - price check

Hey guys, how much are service B these days? I was quoted $825 in one shop and $600 for one shop (both mercedes shops)... seems like a wide disparity and assume all services are included in both.

The service A I remember had a much closer range which was $300-$325. Thanks

One could be omitting the brake fluid flush. Also, some include additives, others don't.
Compare estimates.

Called the local dealer out in Cali. Must have gotten a new service writer because she quoted $1,100. I found a indy and picked what services I had done.

You can also do that at a Dealer.
Make sure that Independent registers the service with CarFax or whatever service they subscribe to, and keep your "detailed" receipts to keep your warranty intact.

This place is a joke.
There is no A/B service any more. They are done at 10k miles/1 yr. intervals and are called 10,20,30,40k mile services. Each one includes an oil change but calls for different additional services depending on the maintenance sheet. So, know what you are asking for, and expect the dealer and isp to NOT know the differences in each, but will help you compare apples to apples. To add to what mikapen said, make 100% sure the ISP is using a fully approved oil by MB, or they WILL void your warranty for any engine problems down the road.

There's an additional 'environmental service charge' for some reason for these services that add an extra $40 to the bill. Not sure whether you guys have these

I've seen the ubiquitous "shop supplies" up to $60 added by the stealerships which is nothing but pure profit for them, or, in some cases pays all the technicians wages!

Those are required fees in many states, including our Colorado.
Legislation requires them, to offset recycling fees, and tire disposal fees are also required.

My car is warning for service due at 1 year intervals regardless of mileage.
