Replacing Chrome Lower Trim 2020 GLE 350 (AMG Exterior)

Hello,

My chrome trim on the front bumper was damaged and will like to replace (Damaged at a Car Wash) it but there was no manual on replacing trips only the bumper on WIS. Mbparts sells the trim alone so I assume you are able to swap it out. My question is if anyone knows how these trims are attached to the bumper? I am posting a picture for reference.

They just pull straight out. Dead easy with a trim tool or knife slid behind them. I had them all off to wrap them black.

I have the blacked out trim and wanted to change the front only to chrome. Where did you find the parts?

A good question is also how to install those again. Do they just push in straight? Or do you have to use an angled approach?

it appears they are held together with clips behind the bumper. The clips can be accessed by removing the cover underneath the radiator and the push in clips in the wall in front of the wheel.

Helps to do this in warmer months. I know I have broke clips in the past doing this type of thing in the cold.

Having to replace this piece as well based on the paint flaking off.

Can anyone confirm based on convo up above?

1-trim piece pulls right out using plastic trim tool or knife.

2-reinstall should just snap back without removal of bumper

**take care not to snap clips
