Market adjustments going away yet for non-AMGs?

Hi Team, looking for a consensus. I had a MB dealer tell me recently that all new cars have MAs... I realize AMGs will continue to (anything V8 for sure), but my gut is that this will be ending soon enough. I have seen many premium level non MB dealers are shooting to stick to MSRP but not asking for more. Thanks for feedback, Tom

It probably depends on the location. My Dealer has no MA’s on any cars…Mercedes, Porsche or JLR’s. Most are preordered but even the occasional unsold arrivals are not marked up over MSRP.

The GLE is one of the most popular MB's on sale and dealers still cannot get enough of them, I'd say ADM's will be continuing for some time.

if you are in Austin, TX as your profile indicates look at the dealers a little south of you and there is at least one that has no ADM on new vehicles. I have two AMGs on order with no ADM (GLE63s and GT63).

It depends on the market in your area. Over by me some of the dealerships still try to do the market adjustment while most are at MSRP for the regular models. For AMGs/something that is rare, they will have market adjustments on them. I'm in Florida.

Sewell never does MA BS. They also treat their customers well but I'm not a fan of their logo on my b*tt. Autonation at some point dropped MA and called me . Not sure how it is with them now. But heck I will not buy from them because I remember how **** they were.

What kind of attitude is that?
I thought that you were only supposed to buy the biggest discount, no matter the Dealer's reputation or distance away. You'll be ridiculed for your good judgement!

But not by me.

I wouldn’t pay any market adjustment. You might have to drive a ways, but shop around.

Don't get me wrong... I'm all for the saving but I wouldn't even save money going with them. Lol
Why should I buy from the one that thinks they do me a favor for selling me the car? The one that does not keep their words and turns around saying that they didn't tell me those things? And when I tried to get the higher guys involved, they ignored me. Why should I? Regardless how hot a car may be or they tell you... these cars are not special. These are mass production, nothing special. There are plenty of choices. There are a hand full of MB dealerships within driving distances around me. I have choices. I'm not going to get ridiculed. They can sell their car to other good customers... like you.

I thought I used enough emojis to alert you to my sarcasm.
I was congratulating you on your principles of buying from the dealer of your choice instead of traveling thousands of miles to save $200, and ending up at the worst dealership in the world.
You didn't do that, and I didn't do that.

My relationship with the dealer and future service is more important than that $200.

But it doesn't seem like others in this thread agree with us.

Who in their right mind would drive thousands of miles to save $200? Would you drive 100 miles to save $10,000 dollars? It almost sounds like you wouldn’t just so you can get ripped off by your local dealer so you can feel like you built up some relationship when in fact they really don’t care one way or the other.

If you've been reading the threads, it looks like there are lots of people who would do that. Check the similar posts.
It baffles me too.
