From mbusa site:

Four individual temperature controls offer personalized comfort to the front and rear cabins. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes sun and humidity sensors, a dust/pollen filter, and an activated charcoal filter that automatically recirculates cabin air upon detecting a significant increase in smog.
The base system is called THERMATIC, the upgrade THERMATRONIC. The auto recirc is a feature of the latter, and it supposedly even switches to recirc for tunnels based on Nav info. There is no difference in filtration between the two. https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...ml#post8613728

Also, is there possibly some reason they can’t equip it with the four zone?
Is it code 581 dual zone climate costing $860? That's the four zone, it just says dual zone on the build sheet because of the ongoing netstar issues. If there's no climate control option, then you're stuck with 2 zone, but if it has option 581, that's four zone.

I wish I had requested the hot/cold cup holder and illuminated running boards for my 2023 special built. Any experiences to share about these features and what I may be missing out on?
I ca imagine you can’t get either installed after market, huh?

My GLE 580 has both, the illuminated running boards are nice to have but not a must. The heated/cooled cup holders are essentially useless - save your money. The GLE cupholders are enormous and the spring tensioning mechanism only works from one angle, so when you put any cup smaller than the maximum size in the cupholder it only touches the heated/cooled area from the smallest area on one side. The bottom is not temp controlled.

I’m just the opposite of the previous poster. I think the running boards are useless and make the car look horrible. So obviously I don’t have them. But as for the heated/cooled cup holders I’ve had them on all my past GLEs and I think they are a great value for their money when comparing other overpriced MB options. I use a lot of plastic disposable water bottles and the system works great for them.

hey @stephencs601 any news on your order?

Just curious since I just placed an order on 10/8 and I'm anxious to know what the timeline is going to be like for my own order.

Also general question, is the discount you get from MB Club basically the "preferred employer" discount? In other words, I can't stack the two?

To me heated/cooled cup holders for $180 is a no brainer. They definitely work and I like them. On the running boards, I decided to pass as I prefer the look without them because they are basically non functional for the most part.

The MB Club Rebate has changed a bit this year. Here's the link:
https://www.mbca.org/benefit/us-member-rebate

Also the folks there are very helpful. Call them.

Didn't realize that there was a MB USA club. From looking at the website, doesn't seem to be enthusiast driven.

Been a member of the BMW Car Club for 10+ yrs and join in the monthly activities we have here in Atlanta.
BMWCCA requires you to be a member for 1 yr (6 months if you get a 3 yr membership) to get their rebate.
Their rebate also cover CPO purchases too.

Based on the wording on that site, I'm guessing its not stackable with the MB Preferred Employee discount.
I emailed them anyway though, thanks.

Not real happy, was just informed the vehicle we ordered will be in by March. Ordered beginning of October. Six months to get a car, something is not feeling right.

Possibly due to the 2024 all electric models being produced next. I was advised when mine was delivered that the production of 2023 GLE was already locked. However, MB did not make any updates on the 2023 models as media was posting and stating. The 2023 model is just a later produced 2022. I admit though, I am enjoying getting use to driving it and it is nice as it does get noticed on the road a lot.

7 months seems to be the norm.

I ordered MY2022 in March with an estimated August build date. It came about a month ago. They kept getting 350s in but no 450s so I’m not surprised that your wait for a 450 may be a little longer.

Sounds like I'll be waiting a while for my 63 then...
Works out for me I guess, the longer I wait, the less I'll be financing.

How long is delivery (east coast) typically after production?

Our vehicle is supposed to be built this week and was wondering when we should expect it.

Seems like the 350 versions get built faster and more often. The 450 and 580 are not as common. Figures, we get the odd ball.
