2024 Order Guide

The other hypothesis is that the dealer did not enable 22U in netstar, is any dealer here reading could confirm this?
EDIT: My new hypothesis is that the feature is included in the sheet, however it was excluded during the printing process because the text was too close to the edge of the paper border. I can be confirmed by looking at the standard options, and I notice GUARD 360, All Season Tires, and a couple other options were missing because they would have been printed at the edge of the paper. So I got worried over nothing 😅

They replaced the Walnut trim with the Black Piano Lacquer Flowing Lines - requirement now with a wood steering wheel.
Does anyone have this, how easy is it to take care of? does it scratch? know it has to be a fingerprint magnet. - and if the lines bother you? (could see that happening with someone that is in the car with OCD). I am bummed out about these changes.
If I go back to walnut trim then it defaults to the standard steering wheel.
Thanks in advance for any info.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Wood steering wheel is a $600 option. Yes I tried to just get the wood steering wheel and no go. Going with the walnut and standard wheel - saved $1,290.

My ordered GLE 450w production date is 9/15/23.
"Factory build says the illuminated star was deleted."
I placed an order for a GLE350 back in mid June, I was originally told the car would be ready late august. Then I got an email from the dealership saying there was delays and it won't be ready until late november. Which is an additional 3 months ??
when I first went to the dealership I asked him does mercedes still have any chip shortages and he said no, they had all the chips they needed to move forward with production. I live in southern Ontario Canada not sure if that helps, but my question is basically has anyone else run into this issue? and does anyone know what the actual delay IS? is it a chip issue or is it something else ?
Thank you.

Did they give you a production number?
Did you leave a deposit for the signed order?
If you left a deposit and they gave you a production date, then the delays are probably bona fide.
If not, it could be anything, including their not having an allocation right away, but I think this would be unlikely with a 350.
Shortages of anything are unpredictable right now, and not really improving.
Many of the smallest companies in the supply chain have struggled with production and some have gone out of business, as a general statement.

That's a long delay and requires the paperwork mentioned above to make sure it's legit. What was the explanation for the delay?

I was reading here how everyone else has been given production dates and I was wondering if I should be getting one? Again I ordered in mid June and still don't even have a production time/date.
once again I live in Canada I'm not sure if that means they do things differently up here maybe ? Also if anyone has advice about what I should maybe do going forward please feel free to comment here, I'm open to suggestions. Should I contact the dealership and ask for a production number/schedule ?
Here is the email I recieved
"Hello, I wanted to send an update on your vehicle order, as there have been some delays to the production schedule. The Mid-August production vehicles have been pushed back to Mid-October and we expect they will arrive at the dealership in late November. We also received a message asking to confirm the interior choice for the vehicle. The black Artico interior isn’t available for vehicles that include the Pinnacle Trim Package (DP2) because of the Multicontour Front Seats with Massage Function and Luxury Front Headrests. Would you like us to add the Black Leather Option (201) at a cost of $2,105.00, or would you like to delete the Pinnacle Trim (DP2) package? Please let me know as soon as possible to prevent any further delays with the production schedule. I’ve attached an updated option sheet including the leather upgrade." - (I approved the change for the leather seats - is it possible I lost my spot in the production schedule because of this issue ?)
thank you again to everyone who has taken the time to respond.

- MANUFAKTUR Dimond White (799) is discontinued beginning with January production. MANUFAKTUR Moonlight White (885) will be available starting with with April production.
