Burmester issues GLE 450
Hello,
Since I purchased this car, my upgraded stereo option (Burmester system) on my GLE 450 sounds awful. Basically, there is practically no sounds coming out of the two speakers on each front door.
I have adjusted every possible setting to no avail. I have taken it in for service and have been told it is operating at normal specifications.
I last took it in last week and they performed a software update and I was told everything is fixed. Unfortunately, there is still practically no sound coming from the two speakers in the front doors. But now there is a new issue: When the car is moving, the sounds turns louder, and when I am stopped, the sounds turns down. I know there is a setting "automatic sound adjustment" but whether it is on or off, the problem persists.
I took the car to two car audio dealers (one which does high-end work) and both told me that the near-total lack of sound from the front door speakers is absolutely not normal (you have to put your ear up to the speakers to hear the sounds) and the problem is due to a software issue which Mercedws should be able to fix.
Has anyone had problems with a near lack of sound from their two speakers on each front door???
Also, has anyone had the music sound increasing or fading with driving and stopping?
Thanks

@cypress822 do you have the 3D Burmester, or the base Burmester?
There is a big difference in the systems.

Unfortunately, lack of sound from door speakers is normal for base Burmester. Nothing wrong with the speakers. If you have Apple Music, or I imagine other streaming sources as well, you will hear sound coming from the door speakers. I can't explain why, but there are other members currently in this thread who are much more capable of discussing its pitfalls than I am. I have not heard of any viable solutions either.

You need to check your sound settings on the menu. Here is what I use— I think it sounds good. I listen to Spotify Premium and use the highest bit rate setting. If you’re listening to XM, it won’t sound nearly as good—XM has a very low bit rate. HD FM sounds better than XM.
So what’s your sound settings and your music source?

You can also use the fader to full front to basically turn off the speakers in the back. That will at least help to see what is going on up front.
