Pre-Paid Maintenance Package

Incidentally and FYI, we needed front brake pads replacement and the local dealer charged $500.

Get with your SA and use their current prices.
Consider likelihood of future price increases.
Also be aware that all services will be time dependant, and will be covered at the appropriate time.
We saved about $700 by purchasing the plan, 48 / 48. The 4 year maintenance was covered, including brake flush. Wife's GLC with only 22,000 miles.
It's the first time ever that I bought such a plan. I did the math.

Bottom line, in England they do the same A, B, A, B service schedule but they do slightly different stuff in them. Costs for a C-class (as of the time they made the video of course) for pay as you go are 2,150 GBP and with the plan (his example uses monthly payments) total out to $1,645 for FOUR YEARS. They get plugs at year 3 and they charge about 180 GBP on top of the normal A service.
My take-aways from this: There is a real, and easily calculated discount of about 25%. The prices are standardized - you can get the service at any of the 140 dealers in the country. This means that the payments (mostly I'm sure) go to Mercedes and Mercedes then pays the servicing dealer. None of this is remotely close here in the states. Plus, everything I have ever heard about cars in England, and all of Europe for that matter, tells me that things are significantly more expensive there than here. Note: I am not talking about the individual prices that each dealer can charge for various services (ie $700 to replace 4 spark plugs right on the top and in the middle of the engine). The meaningful information here for me at least, is about how things should work. Stuff just doesn't add up here in the good old USA.
The dealer that quoted me the PPM wanted about $1,700 for 2 years and said that represented "up to" 30% discount. I had already asked a service advisor the price for A and B services when I asked for the service history of the car before I decided to buy and he told me about $500 A and $950 B (my car had less than 7k miles when I bought it). I have no idea if the US PPM is accepted at all MB dealers (I am sure it does given that the OP got a quote from a dealer in Louisville KY, but given the price differences everywhere it doesn't seem like it should).
I hope this is helpful and I will let you decide on value.
BTW std maintenance does not include a brake fluid flush, they change it by sucking out the contents of the reservoir with a turkey baster type tool and then fill it back up to the line with new fluid.

I ask because you mentioned that your price includes a transmission fluid service that they quoted at about $1k in a different thread. Did you get that service done?
BTW, I am willing to wager a good bottle of Bourbon that they won't do it.

A $680, B $1500

A $537, B $1330

And it was a brake flush, not tranny. Which they actually did it at 48 months, with 22,000 miles.
I'm a Scotch drinker. Thanks!

For the B service, the Pentosin Super Dot 4 was 20.18 At Amazon. Just as much fun.
