2024 Negotiating Price

Hi all,

I'm a newbie here. I plan to get a 2024 GLE 350 4Matic, its price posted by the local dealership is $70,345. To those anyone out here, who has already purchased, May I ask if we still have room to negotiate the price? If so, what's your strategy? how much do you expect them to drop the price down?

I'm located in AZ,

Thank you all!

What is MSRP? What options? Is there a window sticker?

I think it all depends on the person and the dealership. If a lot people still come in wanting to pay MSRP or marks up then dealerships will certainly NOT be looking to discount the vehicle. In this market, if you want a good deal, you need to be willing to walk away, go to another Brand or wait until the deal you want is available…and of course shop around.
With the 2024s JUST being released, the discount may be smaller now vs if you wait a few months. MBUSA still hasn’t updated the build configurator on the website. Being local in AZ as well, you may be able to find a better deal at the MB dealers in Chandler or Gilbert. Those stores have been noted to be high volume dealers here in the valley so possibly more room for negotiation.

I got $3500 off for a 2024 450 , then I cancelled the order for a 2023 450, which was $5700 off MSRP. You are looking to buy a 2024 350, I think you should get more discount as 350 has more volumes.
BTW, the link you provided was not the car shown on the window sticker above. The car from the link has the amg exterior pkg which is over $3,000.

Wish I can guide you but they took my 2020 GLE 350 LEASE and gave me 10k for nothing (I had super low miles) and then took 2K off the sticker.. $12k total and I got my new GLE 450 (upgraded to a 450) that I pick up Monday. I live in the NJ area... other dealerships in NYC/Brooklyn area are selling at sticker. So anything $2k plus off for 2024 in my opinion is good. Just take a moment to price out another 2 dealerships and say the other one will give you more. They all want the deal in the end and you can get a little more off of the one you want. Good luck!

Our Tucson dealer is only 90 minutes away and you might want to give them a call. My salesperson is Adrian. Tell him that Al sent you.

Ray Catena in Union hands down best pricing and inventory is high compare to others. Let me know if you need a contact person there.

Ray Catena In Edison NJ is my closest MB dealer. Always give them a shot at matching the best price I’ve gotten. They never come close, one time on a 2021 GLE telling me that they can’t sell cars for that price. Not sure I like the overall vibe at the Edison store. They do have great inventory, high volume, however, the one time I brought my car in for service somewhat unprofessional. The Brooklyn dealer is a joke, gave them a legitimate price I had gotten and they said at that price I should buy 2 cars.
BTW, have you ever gotten quotes for A or B services from either of the aforementioned dealers, usually about twice as much as what you can get it done for.
As someone mentioned, be prepared to walk out. They size you up when you walk in the door and base their negotiating on what they feel. I have heard many stories of people paying thousands of dollars more for the same vehicle. Always best if can take a car out of inventory rather than order one. Paying cash is NOT an incentive for the dealer, they make money off of the financing. Be as flexible as you feel comfortable with, what color or equipment are must haves, and which are deal breakers. If the right deal comes your way, be prepared to pull the trigger. Good luck

I'm currently awaiting my third car from Mercedes Nanuet where I have found excellent prices and service. And none of that outrageous NJ "documentation fee." NY used to be capped at $75. Now it is $175 but still a bargain compared to the $700 or so I've seen from NJ dealers.
