2020 GLE 350 4Matic Service
Hello all,
It's been a little while since I've owned a Benz. I just took my car in at it's 30k interval for Service A. They recommended a few items that I just wanted to make sure I'm not being nickeled and dimed or if they are superfluous.
Engine Coolant Fluid Exchange Service ($293)
Service A ($348 - getting this done...man prices have gone up)
Remote Battery ($23)
Minor Fuel Injection Services ($99)
BioPledge ($229)
Engine Performance Restoration ($61.62)
Universal Coolant Conditioner ($39)
The only other item that seems to be of need is the Engine Coolant flush...but I'm surprised that's being recommended at 30k. I have no idea what the minor fuel injection service or engine performance restoration are.
Thank you in advance for any insight!

Looks like they are trying to sell you fuel and coolant additives. I bet none of these has a Mercedes Benz label and are not required for service. It's pretty easy to throw in your own bottle of Techron at your next fill up for a lot less than they will charge for something similar.
That BioPledge is a disinfectant interior spray that is a relic of the Covid panic.
Make them show you where Mercedes requires these specific items and make sure they are not trying to sneak in the "severe service" schedule on you. (unless your usage really meets the definition of severe service)
One large Mercedes dealership conglomerate was sued because they were requiring the use of a non-Mercedes approved product called zMax that an owner of the company had a financial interest in.

Get the oil changed and get the car out of the slimy snake pit (MB dealership).

If there is an "Engine Performance Restoration ($61.62)" issue, then shouldn't it be covered under warranty?
