MY2024 GLE 450
Ours has some of it too, probably a bit less. The other cars on the lot had these in some shape or form at various places. The leather is not a "soft" type and has certain look at feel. Some people like it and some people hate it. If it bothers you, you can try replacing covers under warranty.

2023 GLE450
These are the Bahia Brown leather seats. Both front seats look this way. I also have a 2023 with Nappa leather & they don’t look like this. I have friends with the same leather seats but theirs look much better than mine. looking at dealer photos on different cars for sale on the lots, several look similar to mine though.

That's not normal..I have two GLEs and neither look like that. Mine are nappa but that should not make any difference. Take it back to the dealer and have them fix it or replace the covers. You paid the price of a premium car and should expect the quality you paid for. This is not negotiable.

As I recall, (Johnson controls — thanks, Ron,) manufactures the seats and they have had issues with seat covers fitting correctly. Take it back to the dealer they should replace or correct those covers free of charge.

Will supply seats to Mercedes beginning in 2012…
(2020) It’s been almost five months since Faurecia announced plans to build a factory in Cottondale to make auto seats for Mercedes-Benz, and construction of the factory has begun.
Johnson Controls now makes the seats for Mercedes vehicles made in Vance. Its factory is across the road from the site of the new Faurecia plant in the Cedar Cove Technology Park. The Visteon spin-off from Johnson Controls no longer makes seats.
Looks like Faurercia is the culprit?

I think he will be okay on warranty replacements from the dealer. I have the Napa on my 2020 GLE and they don't look like that on a 4-year-old car come June. Mecedes had issues with MB Tex in the past. I've only had two vehicles with it a 2003 and a 2004 ML 550. The 2003 looks fine but the 2004 and 2011 with MB Tex looked awful.

You want to make sure the hvac setting has the floor ports turned on too. The ventiated seats are just little fans on the seat frame under the seat. If you have cold air blowing through the register under the seat, the fans will pick up some of it into the seat. Otherwise it’s just pulling in regular air.

I have the same ongoing issue with my 2020 GLE 450, and what started as a minor problem has become a major one. Mercedes-Benz has offered no meaningful support—only repeated promises and delays, without any permanent solution. Overall, the service has been extremely disappointing and lacks transparency.
