GLE350DE, diesel engine starts shortly every time I turn on the car
Hello all,
I recently leased a GLE 350 DE 2021. plug-in hybrid.
And I'm a little annoyed that the diesel engine starts shortly every time I turn on the car, even with full battery (engine turns off after like 20 seconds..), is this something that could configured to avoid?

How cold is it, and what temperature do you have the heater set at?
Try leaving it plugged in and using the pre-heat function. Then it's up to -10°C or so before the engine kicks on in my experience.

It have been with batterylevels between 50 and 100 %, and been in warm garage (+15 degrees..), it starts the diesel engine. I can add that the vehicle have Airmatic if that should make any difference?

If you had it in EL, it'll restart in EL again (at least, mine does). Most other modes will default back to C (eco might not, but I never use it).
I would expect it to not start the engine at those temperatures if you parked it in EL.

After driving the car in sport mode for about 15 km, it have stopped staring the diesel every time I start the car in comfort mode or EL mode. Seems like the dieselengine havenät been running much lately and that
s the cause for this strange behavior, probably to remind the driver to run the diesel engine properly from time to time
