GLE 450e Battery Issues

I picked up my GLE450e in mid January 2024 and the battery seems like it has issues and not sure anyone has the same problem. Although in the specs it says 50 mile and EPA at 48 mile range. When I drive it on the highway on pure Electric Mode with no heat or AC on, I only get 32 mile range based on the odometer trip. Does anyone have the same issue?

What speed are you driving? Is there a lot of wind? Have you checked your tyre pressures? Do you have roof bars on?

A lot of things can affect the range, but a 32 mile range on electric is something I've only seen on mine with a roof rack + roof tent on top.

Driving around within +/- 5mph of speed limit. No wind and good tire pressure. Nothing on the roof rack and not pulling any load on my hitch. Nice picture of your roof rack.

Definitely doesn't sound normal then, worth checking with the dealer?

What does your dashboard say about electricity consumption? For me it's listed in kWh/100km, I'm guessing in mph-land that'll be mpkWh?

What is the temperature where you are driving? Cold weather reduces the battery capability.

How are you charging the car?

No, I had my neighbor drive my GLE 340e from the west side of Ft Worth to a travel trailer show in Dallas ( Dallas Market Hall) and back . Got 57 miles on elec alone. Did not make it there and back on elec. Ran it down from 100 percent to zero , but it traveled 57 miles on elec alone. Not a good practice to do that 100 to 0 percent thing though).

I'm curious about where you found the EPA figure for milage. I've used the EPA site for years and I've yet to see a GLE450e on that site Maybe a link or photo or ??????????

We consistently see 45 miles in EL mode during the winter months and were seeing 58 miles in the fall. Took delivery in October so no history in the summer months yet. It is definitely going to be dependent on how you drive…acceleration, using regenerative braking, speed etc, but I would think you should be seeing more than 32 miles.

Car came back from dealership service center and they did some adjustments. Took for a trip with the adaptive cruise control set at 70mph and 3 car distance on the interstate and saw it did give 45 miles on pure EL Mode. I hit the left paddle twice so it shows D- and it did more regeneration and got another 5 miles added on. So essential having 50miles now driving conservatively. Temperatures at 35 degF. Looks like the dealership fixed the issue.

On Hybrid mode I drove a long distance on the Interstate - My trip meter in the Mercedesme Connect APP said I drove 197miles and gave 58miles on electric.
