Mercedes Me Connect

Is anyone having issues with the services in Mercedes Me Connect not working and the app not connecting to the vehicle? I called the app helpline. They said it was the communications module, take it to the dealer. Dealer worked on it, cleared all issues and said they did their part but the problem isn’t fixed. All my paid services don’t work, vehicle status won’t update and there’s still an error for no connection.

How's T-Mobile LTE service in your area? Service issues may affect the communication module. Usually, the comm module recovers by itself after a "cold" boot (when you leave your car off and locked for a 30 minutes or so). If your online services have been "reset", it may take a few cold starts to re-activate properly on a network, similar to mobile phones.

As long as we are talking about the app. I’m trying to do location based charging. I have set up home charging. It won’t stay active. Every time I plug in the car, it’s back to standard. It says location based charging is deactivated and I can’t turn it on. Is this normal? Thanks.

T-Mobile is good here. But this has been going on now for 2 months. The App help said it is the comms module, the serv rep said the comms module is working. I don't have Deutsche Telecom T-Mobile for the in-vehicle wifi, but this shouldn't be needed as far as I was told.

on my 2020SL had notice service was due in mid July. Took vehicle in on 7-9-24 for service and notice on dash went away. The Mercedes Me mobile app - Android - shows under service for this vehicle as being overdue. I have been on the phone 2 times with Mercedes Me help # and they couldn't assist. Started by clearing cache on app - no change, then uninstalled and reinstalled - no change still shows "overdue". Other info on the app is correct such as mileage, fuel, location, etc. Has anyone else had this issue? Husband's phone - Android - shows the same info.

The app is not always up to date. Eventually it will correct itself, maybe. My car’s gas gauge doesn’t match the app. The app says 340 miles at about 110 mpg. That translates to about 3 gallons of gas. The app says 97% full. That translates to about 1 gallon.

I just got a snail mail notice for “Communication Module Software Update” If you don’t opt out, You automatically get the update, even if you are not subscribed. It doesn’t really say, apart from NOT needing to visit a dealer, how the update will occur. I’m guessing by cell phone signal, or possibly Wi-Fi if within range of some participating Wi-Fi signal.

UPDATE: 7/30/24

Just received an email from Mercedes Me Connect:

Thank you for contacting Mercedes me Connect.

Mercedes regrets the issues that you may have experienced.

We have found a repair and sent it to your Dealer workshop.In our backend, it shows the instrument cluster still provides the outdated Maintenance info. This might be caused by a wrong overwriting during the maintenance.

It's advised to the customer to visit her dealership to ensure the maintenance is pushed properly. If the issue persist, the Dealer then can contact us for further analysis.

Wonder how much $$$$ this will cost?
