GLE450E issue when charged 100%
I’ve had my GLE450E since mid July. If I let the MB charger charge by battery to 100% and don’t go unplug it within a few minutes of it hitting a full charge, the car will make a noise under the hood that I cannot get to stop without taking the car out for a 5-10 minute drive. I attached a video of the sound. Any ideas?
The car made this sound for 20 minutes 2 days ago after I unplugged it and before I left to go somewhere. For a car I’ve only had less than 2 months, I’m not sure what’s going on. And I shouldn’t have to run out to unplug it immediately every time it hits a charge.
The first time the noise happened I also got the below error on my app and had left it plugged in after hitting 100% for 20 minutes.

I haven’t tried another charger. We have a brand new MB wall charger installed by their preferred electrician. But I mentioned this to them when I called my service advisor yesterday and asked if maybe we got a bad charger?

I will check my settings and make sure it’s unlocking after it completes the charge. So if it’s unlocked it definitely won’t continue charging it sounds like. This is what I would want. Thank you!

I'd find a fast charging location close to you, charge it there and see if the error pops up. If it does, it's most likely a car issue. If it doesn't, it most likely a charger issue.

I have been charging the 450e at home with a older Bosche wall charger(level II) and it takes a couple of hours....now 9,000 km on the vehicle with no issues. On a road trip I used the Level I charger MB gave me...somewhat useless as it take two days to charge the car to 100%....but still getting over 96km per charge...which is great. I do find sometimes it makes a fair amount of noise from the car...and make sure you lock the car once you start charging...I find it helps with ??? that is running while charging.
