Isssues w/New 2025 GLE 450
Just a month ago, I bought a new 2025 GLE 450 (manufactured two months ago in Oct. 2024) and am already having three issues (frustrating!) and wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues and how they were corrected.
1. Trip gauge (miles remaining to go on the gas (petrol) in the tank) on the dashboard - As I start the car and not even out of the garage, the miles remaining number begins to take a nosedive. Within a minute of idling, the trip mileage goes down by ~5+ miles. I barely drive for a couple of miles and the number of miles goes down another 5-6 miles. Seems as if the car is drinking gas (petrol) as the engine is running. Yesterday, I drove the car barely 4 miles total, and the miles remaining went down by 15 miles.
2. Interior Assistant doesn't respond to hand gestures. The reading light (moving hand up-down below the rear-view mirror) and passenger seat area light functions, h/ever, do work. In the Settings, Interior Assistant is toggled on, and I don't see any other option even scrolling up/down.
3. The HUD display - Hey Mercedes function turns ON/OFF the HUD but when I ask to adjust the height or brightness of the display, Hey Mercedes responds that the car is not equipped with HUD. Hmmm!
Thanks!

The Miles to Empty is based on your recent driving habits and consumption. It's "predicting" the range based on that.
Apparently you were cruising gently, getting some good mileage, when you shut down. But even if that's not the case, when you start the next day, the engine is cold, it runs rich, and idling is 0mpg, so it's replacing your current mpg gradually with your current mpg. Your first few miles are not highway mpg, you're running rich, and if you continues under those conditions, the display would probably be fairly correct. I'll bet that if you drove a constant 60mph, fully warmed up, you'd see that range increase similarly. It seems to take a couple of miles before current driving starts to register by showing an increase in range.

I have no experience here, other than to note that many posts have said that the actual motions take some practice.
Like the "kick to open" feature on the rear door.
3. The HUD display - Hey Mercedes function turns ON/OFF the HUD but when I ask to adjust the height or brightness of the display, Hey Mercedes responds that the car is not equipped with HUD. Hmmm!
In this case, you have asked Ms. MBUX to do something she can do (on/off), but then asked something that must be entered in the menu (I'm ASSuming the '25 is the same as my '21). She'll often answer with "I can't help you with that" or "can you repeat that," but I've never heard her say "not equipped."
Thanks!
You might add to your profile so we can see your car's info, so we can offer appropriate responses.

YES, I CAN’T GET THE REAR DOOR KICK TO WORK CONSISTENTLY.

When you start up the car, the car is running rich, and hence the instantaneous mileage is really low, leading to the "remaining miles" being low. When the car gets to full operating temperature, after it has run for over 10+ miles, things should stabilize and the true "miles remaining" would emerge. Every car, ever made, should be reflecting this phenomenon, unless the software is manipulating things to make the "miles remaining" rosier than it is when the drivetrain is cold.
