New MB owner, 2024 GLE 580
Greetings all,
We have been looking to upgrade my wife's (also known as HQ in our house! LOL) SUV, (2011 Nissan Armada) and have been looking at BMW X6, Audi SQ8, and MB GLE 580. Wife drove the 580 last night and she loved it, (she wanted drive a MB car, just to see if she liked being in a car again after 11 years in her Armada, so the dealer hooked her up with test drive in an AMG C63S. HQ didn't like sitting lower than the 580, cool car though, so her she is, I only got 1 picture, as I was doing the wheeling dealing. HQ has more and I'll post them when she sends them to me.

IR 18 The closet I'll get to the driving the 580 is back it out of the garage to wash and wax it! LOL BUT she does let me drive her other "car" 2009 Gen 4 Viper 600HP, 560 Ft. Lbs. of torque
We traded a Q8 - great car, yes very sporty in appearance and drive (lots of compliments) and more room than you think. We experienced some electronic gremlins through the ownership and I didn’t trust the engine longevity so we bounced back to Benz while we still had some value in it. Personally I wouldn’t mind an SQ8, but it was her turn.😉

Happy wife, happy life I always say. Thanks for the feedback on Q8, the 2024 SQ8 Robin was looking at was very nice, it just seemed small to me. BUT the local Audi dealer was really trying to win our business and sent us an offer quote which knocked $15K off the SQ8. When the MB dealer and Robin and I sat down to "Haggle" I showed the MB sales manager the Audi quote, he said they couldn't match, but they got real close! Here's a couple of more pics. Happy WIFE! LOL

Ha, happy wife, happy life indeed! That bow reminds me, they were supposed to do a bow pick for us but I guess forgot, it was also right before Christmas! :/ We were at the dealer for nearly 4 hours so we couldn’t wait to get out of there and get it on the road!

Yeah, it's one of the craziest things I ever driven, (And I had the incredible experience to drive a Mystic 50 Catamaran over 165 MPH), the torque out of the 8.4L is what gets me in trouble!

Ok, so I have my first B!TCH about the 580. My iPhone 13 Pro with an OTTER box cover on it won't fit thru the NFC opening to lay flat on the charger pad. It will fit when I take the OTTER Box off, but I can't do that, I'm known in the Ferry Household as the "Cell Phone destroyer"! LOL. In the end I still connect over NFC/Bluetooth, and I can still charge my cell using USB-C cable.... just a small b!tch

my charger pad is not even working at the moment! Annoying!! Yeah the pad area is quite small too, if my phone was slightly bigger, it probably wouldn’t fit!

BUT HQ says it has to match the ones from the dealer, (has the MB Logo formed in them) I;ve looked at MB Website, but they don't seem to carry it?
