Tuxmat compatable mat

I purchased a set of Tuxmats for my 24 GLE 580. When I ordered the mats the trunk only mat wasn't avaliable. Now Tuxmat (a Canadian company) becaue of the tariff's is not shipping to US. I would really like to get some kind of protective mat in the cargo area but I'm not sure what would match the Tuxmat's. There not made of hard plastic or rubber but a layered vinyl with an EVA core, and a non slip base. Tuxmats are manafactured in China and I'm sure I could find an aceptable clone on Amazon but its hard to tell what materal the mat's for sale are made of. Does anyone have any input on mats they might of bought and can suggest a match? Thanks...

Is your heart set on Tuxmat-like cargo mat? It is more slippery than the alternative. I have Tuxmat for the passenger area and weathertech for cargo. People here have mentioned the OEM with the square cleats are the most grippy, weathertech is medium grip, and Tuxmat is the least for cargo mats. I find that to be accurate at least with Tuxmat and weathertech.

Check out 3D Mats. They aren't exactly like TuxMats, but they're similar. I have their Kagu floor liners in my Audi and I like them better than my TuxMats. I personally still prefer WeatherTech cargo liners.

I got the Lloyds cargo mat for our 2025 GLE450 and it's pretty nice. Very grippy but easy to move things on it,

IMO the TuxMat cargo is too slippery (I own the Tux for my 2022 GLE53 but only have the front and rear passenger mats - I have a MB OEM rubber mat for the cargo area in that car).

Thumbs up for both, that is my go to for alternatives to Tuxmat, although I still like Tuxmat over both.

I went with the 3D rear cargo area mat.

Amazon Amazon

If I'm going to do some spirited driving I find I have to secure everything in the back with bungee cords anyway, so I keep a supply of them on hand. I like the idea that the 3D mat also folds in the middle to allow easier access to the storage area around the spare tire. I had a set of Weathertech mats that came with my 18 GLE 43 CPO. I ordered a cargo area mat to match and it arrived not a very good fit. I called Weathertech and was told to take pictures. After they looked at the pictures they called and were very apologetic about the bad fit and offered to send me a replacement mat. When it arrived the new mat fit even worse. I then gave up and put the first one back in as it fit better. I like to support Weathertech for what it does with it's racing sponsorship but I feel their mats are declining in quality from what they used to be.

Same experience. I probably won't get Weathertech again unless it's my only option for decent grip.

Let's us know how you find the 3D cargo mat vs Tuxmat's passenger mats.

That 3dMaxpider mat looks nice- -esp like the fold in the center idea - that is a nice feature.

WeatherTech is made in USA though for those who want to buy local.

I installed the 3D cargo area mat yesterday and it is a perfect fit. It is definitely grippier then the Tuxmats, a more rubbery feel like the Weathertech mats but with a much more precise fit. Within 1/8 of an inch not the 1.5 inch or so fit of the Weathertech I had in my GLE 43. So I'm very happy with the Tuxmats, in the front and back seat area, and the 3D mat in the cargo area .

Thanks for the update. If you have any pics, would you mind uploading them? I never considered the 3D but maybe I will next time.

They modified the mats to have those clips on the floor. That is not 100% waterproof anymore. Mine did not have those and it does not move.

I could be wrong, but all of the after market mats I've seen have the stock mounting 'snap in's' installed. I think it might be required to have them. The clips I used were near the throttle, the mat might move off of the console and interfere with the throttle. So as a precaution I installed two of the supplied clips just to be safe. Otherwise the mats are a nice perfect fit, with much more coverage then other mats that I looked at.
