2025 GLE 450e Lowering on enter/exit

Hello fellow MBers. I got my 2025 GLE 450e delivered. When I ordered the car, one feature that is very important to my wife is the ability of lowering the car upon enter/exit. I paid the Airmatic specifically for that.
If I enabled the "lowering" option before I park, it'll lower the car. Perfect.
The problem is that on my next drive, it disabled that option when you get above 20mph (which the manual stated), but wouldn't turn it back on when I park again. I have to re-enable it myself just before I park.

Has anyone use this option and do you see it behave similarly?

Thanks.

Saw this post and tried it out myself, same result (in case you were wondering if it was an isolated incident). Selection of automatic lowering toggled, works for the single instance, defaults/returns to non-lowering selection at next drive. I'm not aware of a setting to make it permanent, perhaps someone with knowledge of it or coding perhaps can chime in.

That's the way it is.
Standard ritual: stop, place car in Park, leave engine running, hit console button, hit display button, turn off engine, exit.

Seems like a lot of trouble, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's done this way because Mercedes doesn't want to crush the dog.😲

To complicate things, if you come to a stop while you're in a lowered mode such as Sport, the car rises. Which confuses the lower on entry function.

I have the lower selection on my favorites. I put the car in park, hit the favorites button and select lower on the screen. No big deal. Be aware that the lowering pauses if you open the door.

Its annoying but you get used to it. Its hard if you are coming from a Range Rover to get used to having to do it yourself.

It is possible to lower the car while in motion....at least on our 2024 GLE. As long as you're traveling under the speed threshold (19 mph), you can select the Lower function and the car will begin to lower while in motion. Saves some time, since the car should be at its lowest position by the time you stop and put it in Park. The trick is once you've selected Lower, don't exceed 19 mph.

I must be blind, I can’t find that option on my 63. Where is it exactly?

How did you do that?
Based on your post, I spent time yesterday trying to put this on my favorites button.
But as far as I can tell, it's stuck on the "car" button in the center console
I'm assuming that when you say the favorites button you meant the star button....

Don't you have a big lever button on the center console right above the center storage box to raise/lower the car?

That one does raise and lower the car, but we're talking about the "lower on getting in" switch/icon, on the Quick Access menu.
It takes effect after you come to a stop, or under 30kph, 18mph.

I do, but that only raises the vehicle (and then lets you lower it back). I don't think it has anything to do with the "lower on entry/exit" feature that my GLE apparently doesn't have (or I can't find).

I don't think that's an automatic feature. The physical button does the same function as the button on the car quick settings screen.

According to my manual. Using the control on the console lowers the car to the currently selected drive program level (0 in Comfort mode). Using the quick access selection to lower will drop the vehicle to -2.

You're right, I tested it. The screen button lowers the car. The console button raise the car or brings it down to normal level.

After the other posts on this thread, I still have the same question, which is:
What steps do you take to put that on your favorites list? (The one activated by the star on the console or the star on the steering wheel.)

Sorry, I was referring to it as my favorites page. It is on the Functions page (the button with the car on it above the star) Car Wash Mode is there too.

That's where I see it as well.
I was hoping you had a shortcut to save a couple of steps in my lowering ritual, because I use it every time I park.

it would be the same number of steps. Hit the car button, then hit the lower button on the screen.

Yep.
I was hoping I could accomplish it with my thumb on the steering wheel, because my passengers seem to think I have some sort of crazed ritual before i turn off the car.

And too bad it's not under gesture controls either. That would be convenient. I do wonder if it can be coded to lower each time you park.
