2025 GLE seats umcomfortable?

Just got a 450e this past week and it feels like my lumbar does not deflate all the way, where the bottom of the seat back protrudes out. My dealer said all GLE seats protrude

out a bit on the seat back but this seat does not feel comfortable at all. Anyone else experience this?

Seats are comfortable to us.

is your passenger seat the same? If it’s more comfortable that might support your claim with the dealer

Passenger seat was a bit better but still the same. The seat would be perfect if the back of it was flat with adjustable lumbar but seems like Mercedes has some lumbar support built in

The seats in my 63, the ones with the diamond quilted leather, have a permanent small lumbar bump, even when it's set to 0/0.

It doesn't really bother me because I think I bumped it up to 3 and a height of 4 anyway, but I know what you mean. It shocked me getting in the first time after my S6 because that had a flat back, even with the "comfort" seats.

Try extending your seat bottom or leg rest to see of another combination works for you.
If you used the automatic seat configuration based pn your height, try ignoring that and start over.

First set the distance to the pedals, adjust the seat bottom tilt and thigh support. Then work on the relationship between your hands on the wheel vs. recline. Then work on the lumbar adjustment.

Good luck. The adjustments are essentially infinite and it can take a while.

That built in lumbar support works well for me and my bad back. In fact I prefer the GLE’s seat to the seats in my S Class.

I don't know how it is on a 2025 450e versus my 2020 450, but some of my seat adjustment options are only possible via the MBUX display in the Comfort section. Specifically, most of the lumbar and side bolster settings (height/width/depth) are there, not on the physical controls next to the seat. Probably depends on whether you have the multi-contour seat option as well.

I think those extra settings only show up in MBUX with the contour seats

Yep just trying a bunch of combinations but seems like the natural lumbar support of the seat is on the lower side for me. I’m on the taller side but never had issues with any car seats (ranging from Toyotas to Porsches) so was a bit surprised when I picked up my car. My fault for not test driving it beforehand

Seat comfort is body shape/size dependent. What was your previous daily driver and what car in your experience has the most comfortable seats?

I was in a GLC beforehand and liked the seats. Best seats I’ve had are the 18 way in my Taycan

Interesting. My most uncomfortable were my Macan, 18 way. They were too narrow at the very front, pinched my thighs and aimed my right foot at the brake pedal. My wife (her car) agreed - she's a lot smaller than I am.
Loved the car but traded it. In retrospect I should have found a better aftermarket seat, instead of taking a depreciation hit in the first year.

I'm six foot 250lbs. My back's been broken twice and I've had three whiplashes. (All three while stopped in the left lane with my turn signal on!)
Here's a pic of my lumbar setting:

Are these the multi-contour seats? I don’t have this setting and just the wheel on the side of the seat
