Gle 450 coupe sport+ mode making a backfire noise when shifting gears.
Hey guys I have yet another issue with 2016 gle450 coupe
When driving in sport + mode there is a noise like backfire.
Took it to the dealer and they're telling me it's because of the exhaust system and it is normal.
claiming it's back pressure buildup.
I'm reaching out to you guys to see if ya'll can drive yours and get me some feedback on this.
this happens upon fast acceleration and when vehicle is down shifting automatically.

In sport plus this is VERY normal. In fact it is exactly as it should in Sport+.

Sport+ will:
"Harden the suspension one step further from Sport. (Airmatic only)
Height is unchanged from Sport
Eco mode turns off
More aggressive gear changes, as well as longer RPM pulls,
ECU changes to alter exhaust sound during shifts.
Steering gets heavier"

Maybe this is only on GLE 63. With GLE 450 coupe. Sport+ lowers the car even more than sport mode.

Sport settings toggle it. Sport+ extra loud whereas comfort is quiet. Trust us - the sound is VERY loud when in sport plus.
after it warms up it quiets down but when throttling it is totally hammer!
