Rear squeaking/creaking noise

So my now month old GLE 550e has been exhibiting a creaking/squeaking sound when first driving it each day, or after it sits for a while. It seems to occur most when the frame of the car is flexing, like when turning the corner in my work garage and one back wheel is higher than the other when cornering, or even when the frame is just jostled during driving over major road deformities. I cannot tell exactly where it is coming from but the wife acknowledged she can hear it too. That and a persistent rattle are very annoying for a new 75K car....

Anyone know what the creaking /squeaking could be? I recall reading a previous thread about door seals needing to be lubricated sometimes, but this seems to be from the rear, and almost sounds like the shocks or struts making the noise, and it is definitely coming from the rearmost part of the car.

Had a 2016 GLE that squeaks exactly like you mentioned (i.e. Over humps and entering a slope)... sounds like a 10year old car groaning. Took it to the dealership and they say it's normal. I didn't pursue the issue so don't know what the solution is. Just thought I share the experience so you know you're not the only one.

Drove the car a lot this weekend and it seems to be getting worse.

I have a 16 GLE Coupe. Got some squeaking/rattling noise coming from the rear passenger seat/trunk area. Took it to the 1st dealer. They tried fixing the headliner the first time, door pillar the second time. Kept the car for total 3 weeks. Did not fix the issue. (and each time, they returned the car to me saying it was corrected)
I asked a friend of mine to drive the car, so I can hear where the noise is coming from. It was coming from everywhere near the headliner/sunroof area.

Decided to take it to a different dealer. Took them 2 days and fixed the problem. They did not tell me the specific. Something was loose in the headliner/sunroof. Make sure you take it to a dealer that knows what they are doing.

My GLE has similar noise, especially driving over the bump. I happened to figure out that the noise came from the driver's seat. Took the car to the dealer and they fixed it by adding some stuff under the seat.
Hope this info can help.

Solved

I dropped the car opff at the dealer Wednesday night and picked up a loaner. I had a number of issues, but the squeaking/creaking was number one. Apparently it took the tech quite a while to isolate the cause. His notes were comprehensive. First he inspected the rear suspension components. They checked out. Then he lubed the "rear trunk" weather seal. Noise still noted. Then he checked the rear bumper mounts and brackets for loose screws. Everything checked out. Then he checked the roof rail mount. That was ok. Then he removed and reinstalled the left and right side panels (I am guessing outside?). He put felt tape on. After a road test, the noise was still present. He notes it is coming from the left rear inside area (which I had told them originally) He then removed and reinstalled all the panels on the left, right and hybrid battery area. He must mean inside. Road tested again and then verified the noise was coming from the metal frame about the hybrid battery. He then inspected and found the left two bolts on the black metal frame were loose and only secured halfway. He torqued them down all frame bolts and road tested vehicle. He then reinstalled all panels. His notes indicate that solved the issue.

My other complaints were poo-poo'd, especially the worrisome one about the brakes. My problem is sometimes they do not function properly, in that they grab and make braking very jerky. My wife asked if I was doing it on purpose because it was so awful He incorrectly wrote that the brakes will develop a layer of rust which will affect operation when first used in the morning. While this is a true statement, it is completely unrelated to the operational issues I am having with the brakes. They are hybrid in nature, and do not engage in the same way regular brakes do. There is no contact absent hard braking, as the braking is regenerative and pressing the brakes results in electrical regeneration not created by contact with the rotors. Given that he also mentioned "spare tire area" in his notes, I am pretty sure he the tech does not work on a lot of hybrids, as there is no spare. The persistent rattle was ascribed to water bottles and some miscellaneous objects in the car. The water bottles were new, and the rattle preceded my putting them in the car. The other objects had already be removed by me to test the noise. Fortunately (or unfortunately) the rattle is intermittent, so it has not shown up in a day or two. I will follow up if it comes back.

At least the major squeaking/creaking is gone, and the other issues are intermittent. I had forgotten to mention how loud the massaging seat is when my wife uses it. I have no idea if that is normal...
