2017 gle fuse help
Hi everyone, new member here.
So I have a radar detector and im looking to hardwire it to my 2017 gle. I can't seem to find a single fuse that isn't constantly "hot." I've tried the fuses by the passenger door and the box under the right read passenger. The only box I haven't tried is the one under the hood.
While im typing this im wondering if they were hot bc I had the key in my pocket the entire time....
Will check in the morning.

I believe all the dash fuses are always hot. Under the rear seat, you will find some +VCC fuses. If in doubt, just tap it on the cigarette lighter fuse, you know this one is not always hot. This one is under the rear seat. As it is for a radar detector, you might also want to try and tap it from the cigarette lighter directly. It will probably make you run a shorter cable.

I'll be trying later today again but all of them were hot. From the cigarette lighter to the airbag sensor. I still believe it was because I had the key in my pocket and the car knew I was still there. Lets hope that was it.

Maybe this link will help. Let us know how it works out since I need to do it too but just afraid to try.

I checked out the link but my hardwire kit has some type of transformer and wouldn't fit there if I did it that way.
I believe it might have something to do with the push button start. Since the button is always in it seems to keep many of the fuses on. Especially the ones by the front passenger. It doesn't make sense either. Why would the airbags need power even if the car is in park and off?
I did find some that went off with the car but when I plug in the kit it doesn't turn the detector on. Another mystery.

Ok I figured it out. After 3 days of on and off trying. Fuse 115 seems to be the only one, that I found, that completely goes off with the car off. (If I remember correctly it the tow hitch one) Also, had to use a small metal vertical piece next to the bolt for the seat to use as a ground. Found a washer that fit perfectly over it and covered it in electrical tape. didn't want to use a screw and put a hole in the bracket. Works great.
Only really issues were length of the wire and having to hide the remote on the wire under the front passenger seat, it has become useless. The hardwire kit just reached to the front windshield by the mirror after squeezing every inch out of it.
Any questions let me know.

Were there by chance any updates to this?
I'm trying to find +acc power for a dash cam in the fuse box located in the passenger side second row of seats.
Any pictures OP has would be much appreciated.
