Pricing help on 2016 GLE350
Hi new member here. My wife is hot to purchase a 2016 GLE350 and I am having a tough time finding comparable vehicles on the market for price comparisons. The subject vehicle has the AMG exterior sport package, designo napa leather package. Best I can determine is the AMG package gives us the 20" sport wheels and black trim. Standard 3.5l fuel injected engine. The truck is also a CPO. The list price is about $5,000 more than anything else that I can find online. Nothing else available lists the AMG package and designo as options so I am not comparing apples to apples. I am trying to determine a fair price to pay for it. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Is it the While one in Charlotte listed at $53K? It looks to be quite loaded including Distronic and all the active stuff. I have been looking at ML CPO's for some time and you hardly ever see one optioned like this. Maybe the occasional Designo leather or AMG but the Distronic seems a rare option. I would offer $48K and be prepared to work back to 50-51K. Looks like you are paying additional $8k.
But if your wife is hot like you say she is you might want to help here get this car before someone else does. Good Luck

One thing I am having a hard time with is figuring out what the AMG Sport package give you. We went for a second look today and I noticed the calipers are bigger and have Mercedes stamped on them. So upgraded wheels and brakes. Anything else with the AMG package?
Oh yeah, I think my wife is hot b

If my memory is correct, the AMG package gave the 350 a more aggressive front end and maybe some different side rocker panels. It also changed the rear exhaust area. The night packge made you add the AMG package first and then it blacked out the front grill, roof bars, chrome around the windows and a few other areas. And that looks more like the optioinal panio black wood trim than it does the antracite popular wood.
See if this link/brochure below helps.

Also ask them to give you the vehicle master inquiry (VMI). They can delete the previous owners names and addresses if that bothers them that much on the VMI. Also I'm not sure if you are interested in Apple Carplay but if you are, the car has to have a manufactured date after Feb. 1 2016 to have it factory installed.
That's a nice looking interior by the way!
Good luck.

Well..
Very nice rig - see attached options breakdown - confirm end-date of CPO warranty April 1st 2021 - look closely at tread all 4 tires - CPO replaced either front pair or rear pair of tires - check the "other" non-replaced pair to see how much tread and whether that existing pair are even left-to-right - they had touch-up paint repair - and at least one scuff wheel repair - look close and recheck.
From my side - once you look "close" and have no issued - then ask about Free 2yrs PPD Maintenance - then wrap it up and be happy !

Well, so far no deal on this vehicle. My wife has looked at a couple of '17s with under 10k miles that she likes just as well and are at the same price point. The AMG package is not super important to her. The designio interior is what grabbed her attention. In any event, the '16 is still a possibility, but she is digging into the '17s at a different dealership. I know what my afternoon/evening is shaping up for...
You guys nailed it about that dealership. They dont seem willing to get aggressive. Good for them I guess.

Sabates owns/partners with several dealerships across the country and will show that inventory on their website, but don't go to the local shop and hope to get help with any listings that are not at their local lot. Even though it lists on their website and it seems like they would work with you, they wont and to their credit they will be very upfront about it in the showroom.
The Hendrick dealerships seem to be a little better about it. They have 2 in town and another in Durham and their internet sales people seem to be interested in helping even if the car you are looking at is at another location.

My wife worked out the deal on her own. She and I agreed on where she needed to end up and she got there. She is a successful RE broker. Negotiating is not new to her. It was fresh off the truck, so it has to go through the CPO inspection and detail. They hope to deliver it to our house tonight. I'm excited for her. This a '17 4Matic with 6,800 miles and loaded up with options. Thanks for the help. I will be checking in from time to time.
