GLE350 Ingress and Egress
I have a 2018 GLE 350 with running boards. Does anyone else find it awkward getting into and out of the vehicle?
My wife and I are too tall to use the running boards and too short to comfortably step over them down to the ground. Seems like in wet weather you will drag a pant leg across a dirty running board.
How do you ingress and egress the vehicle?

Yes! This is one of the things driving me crazy about this vehicle. Can't use the running boards because foot doesn't fit, have to take a giant leap so my nice dress pants don't touch the boards full of road grime/ice/salt/etc.

Exactly the reason I didn't order running boards on my GLC.
Learned my lesson with running boards on a GMC Envoy.

My wife and I noted the same situation with exiting the vehicle and getting rubbed by the running boards on the back of the leg since they extend out the way they do.
They came with my CPO 2016 GLE 350 and I think I'd second guess getting them had I paid extra for them.
I've thought about taking them off, but they do offer a bit of lower door paint protection so for now they stay on.

Agree with the above comments. I like the appearance but do not use them.

What sort of running boards did you get to replace yours? Do they look any good?
