GLE John,
Bosch is one of the oem suppliers to Mercedes for wiper blades.
i have purchased them for my GLE and they are identical to the wiper blades at the dealer. Bosch has different styles of wiper blades so, make sure you choose carefully…A little hard to find online though…
Thanks for the direction here. Unfortunately my cylinder 5 misfire does in fact relate to the dreaded valve issue that arose from a press issue when engine was first assembled. Now have to remove engine to fix valve at a cost of $14,000. Some have said Mercedes will help but they only offered me money towards a trade in. What a joke.

Sorry to hear. Will you go for a replacement engine, or change vehicles? A new M276 engine would be a very nice improvement and would extend the life of the vehicle considerably.
Updated the navigation map at the dealer. They offered a $100 coupon so I did it. I haven’t noticed any dramatic differences in the map, and I wasn’t expecting any. New and changed roads are probably updated which will be nice when needed. Has anyone noticed big changes in the latest map update?

I will post the service invoice shortly.
interested to know the version...I had dealer upgrade mine in April...I didn't notice much but there were a few new highways since the original map from 2017 here in central Florida
1 easy test for update is try to enter address below and compare to what google says.
MY 2016 system would show only 2 of those streets and with different names for them
You might find more 5-6 years old neighborhoods in your area that will not show on your GPS.
Added 1 qt of oil, the engine seems to be consuming 1 qt in 10k miles. Within the range of normal and I will keep an eye on it.
After the map update the nav system seems to take more time than it did before to calculate a route. No way to say for sure. Has anyone else noticed this?
Almost 6 months since I bought CPO 2018 at 34 K miles. No issue did some cosmetic upgrades. Here is the list
1) Headlight bulb to HID using HID conversion kit also added a capacitor to cancel the warning
2) LED glow star ( RGB and still color with smart phone app )
3) Floor mats with MB logo
4) Dash mat
5) Custom stick up MB logo ( I know it sounds crazy but Looks from the driver seat, classic MB view .. lol)
6) Exhaust quad split
7) Rim vinyl wrap
8) Panamericana grill ( It made it stand out )
9) Window air deflector
10) DRL and Fog light
MAINTENANCE:
1) Did Transmission oil flush ( not drain and refill ). Used return line to bypass. Took almost 3 Pentosin (236.15 Blue for Code A89 transmission) 5 lit jug, also changed filter and gasket. It was due at 40 K I changed lot early as the new transmission usually shred some shaving so thought to change early. It is good for now another 40 to 50 K. Since then I drove more than 100 miles without any issue or leakage. Using iCarsoft MB V3 read the AT temperature to adjust the AT level at 45 C
This drives smooth I have Lexus and a 2021 Gla 250. This GLE ride is smoother than both of them I am really impressed
Looks great! Would like to see the exhaust - rear photo. Also, what did you do to the DRL and fog lights? How? Are you thrilled with the HID headlights? I did an LED upgrade and it's pretty good. Wish there were some relatively easy way to get an auto high beam. I'd also love to see a detailed write-up on the trans flush. All looks great!

Yea those LEDs are good. First I thought about it but due to a bad experience in past, I decided to go with HID. I love when HID glows to full brightness ( slowly glow ). I burned two LEDs in past with my other vehicles. I just came back from a trip to Utha, a round trip of 1000 miles. Those lights ( Fog and extra DRL ) helped me in seeing the pavement and divider line, the weather was bad many spots had 0 visibility. First time I experienced GLE 350 engine performance in bad weather. I am really impressed. Many times I shifted to higher rpms when going uphill and overtaking, kind of abused it lol. The Exhaust of GLE 350 is fake which I really hate. I installed quad exhaust tips but they are fake too. So planing to cut the exhaust at the point where it bends down ( original exhaust tip close to muffler ) and make a hole in the fake exhaust, add a flexible ext pipe, still brainstorming how to customize it ( If anyone had done it please share ). In winter one can clearly see the condensed vapors coming from down rather than through the exhaust tip ( fake one ).
Hey sib785sub...regarding the exhaust, yes ours are fake but some (maybe the 450's) are not fake....so if you are willing to spend $$$ to make the swap I'm sure you could get real exhaust from MB, butmaybe not the quad...
Just returned from a 3500 mile round trip to Key West and back. Great run. Achieved 21.5mpg on the whole trip, better than usual. Engine seems to be using 1 qt of oil in 10k miles.
Great overtaking power at 70mph+. Good performance for a base model. I drive in Sport 100% of the time and the power is always there. In Comfort mode the vehicle (powertrain) is totally dead to me.
The MB-Tex seats and I have bonded. Great seat back comfort and bolsters fit me perfectly. Seat bottom is a bit flat but I have grown used to it. I could use a bit more angle adjustment on the seat bottom but it's not a big deal.
Will change the oil, 90k miles now, as soon as I have time and temps get above freezing. I have a big list of maintenance jobs to do this year when the weather warms up and the vehicle hits 100k miles.

I bought a used one from the local craigslist. Planning to install this one. Presently I have a fake quad exhaust tip from eBay just for the cosmetic look in winter one can clearly see the vapors coming from the bottom, not through the fake exhaust tip (ofcourse). But planning to replace it with the metal one and will add a flexible pipe extension
Sub786sub - That will be cool! Would you share part numbers for the ones you posted pix of?
Hope this helps. I am not sure it will be an exact fit but looks like from the tip side ( chrome part ) it should fit, for back end to fit I need to do cut some heat shield and then add a flexible metal extension to the exhaust ( might need to cut 2 inches of the exhaust to get a straight pipe
Cool - You did it! Can you detail the process? Did you use flex adapters to connect the exhaust and did you have to cut the stock exhaust tips that face downwards?

I opened a new thread hope that helps. Sorry not very professional someone can do better than me still working on making it cosmetically clean look ( underneath area ) From the outside it looks clean
Dust filter is super easy to replace. The outboard carbon filter is fairly easy. The inboard carbon filter needs to be squished and crunched into place, after which it springs back and fully seals the opening.
Found out that when the engine is running and the climate control is switched “OFF” the main flap is closed where the carbon filters are accessed. I wanted to keep my engine running as a source of heat while I did this job outdoors in the cold. So I turned the climate control to “AUTO”, turned the engine off and replaced the filters.
92k miles. Overdue for an oil change but it has been too bloody cold for this. Next weekend should be near 0C/32F and I will give it a go.
This is a big maintenance year for this vehicle as it turns 100k miles. Still on factory front pads and rotors. Probably new tires this year and all of the other odds and ends.
