"Check Brake Pad Wear", I see this message at about 25K miles
How many miles roughly I can still drive before I have to get the pad replaced.
I plan to make an appointment in a couple weeks. I drive 25 miles total daily.
You have time. 2-3mm is good for several hundred miles or more. Time to get them changed now.

How many useful miles are left on the pads? That would largely depend on how aggressively you use the brakes. If you only drive 25 miles a day and are generally easy on the brakes, you should be fine before your repair appointment.
The message was on at around 24800, right now it is 25400.
The dealer sent me the job list:
disc brake pad 1
brake paste 2
brake disk vented 2
brake wear sensor 1
pan head fit bolt 2
bolt with flange 4
brake clnr 1
screw 4
total parts and labor is 1472.69.
Does this look fair?

I asked them the same question when they gave me the estimate yesterday. They said they have to replace the rotor/disc.
I remember I read somewhere another person also had the same issue.
My Honda, the dealer just resurfaced the disc.
I have a 2001 C320, I just briefly checked the service history. At 50K and 100K, the front "disc and pad" were replaced twice. I did not see anything about the rear in my record.
My experience with them is, they replace, they do not repair.

The GLE400 front rotors size is 350x32mm and the rear rotor size is 330x22mm the same as the GLE43
I dont even resurface my rotors when I swap pads. It's fine. If they start pulsing, then take scotch bright to them. If that doesn't work, then get new rotors. I can do pads and a fluid swap within an hour, without a lift. I'd like to think they're better at it than me, especially since they aren't drinking while they're doing it. The only times I've swapped rotors on any more my cars was 1) when I got to the metal on the race car 2) after about 20 track days on a 450hp/3400lb street car and 3) after 120k miles on my silverado.

Single set of pads wear 20-30% of the rotors, so for me rotors are lifetime item.
Bad part is that MB makes pads smaller than rotors, what creates lips. I usually have to grind the lips when putting 3rd set of pads.
Each rotor has min thickness stamped on it, but good luck finding mechanic who will give you that info.
