Weird issue with cruise control
Hello folks ! Guys, please tell me. I have weird issue with cruise control (classic speedtronic, not adaptive) on GLE 400 coupe 2016. I bought car with an error: cruise control and speedtronic inoperative. After buy I visited MB workshop, they reflashed software from cruise control and it worked great. Now its about 14 days - when I pull cruise control lever - time to time it says speedtronic inoperative. Sometimes also before cruise control shuts off - I see on display: cruise control: - - km/h. And then error message. After stop and letting car off for some time. Issue is gone and its working again. I have fooking no idea what it can be ? I have new main battery. Otherwise no idea. no other errors. Update: since today, cruise control doesnt work at all. Even I let car over night off, it doesnt work anymore
it could be AUX battery ? (around 8 years old, no error message. Main battery is brand new.
abs / esp works fine, no problems.
speedo works, but it could be speed sensor issue ?
no other issues everything works. Just that good damn cruise control is annoying

8 years on the original Aux battery? it's time to replace. Usually they last up to 6 or 7 years.
I would get the code pulled from a good scanner.

Since you had the vehicle refreshed at the dealer, usually they offer a warranty on their repairs...
Reach out to them and say the reflash didn't work and ask them to rediagnosis... they should do this free of charge.

I would check the Cruise Control Master Switch, Clock Spring and wiring issue. My guess is the Cruise Control Master Switch. I would start there first.

Like I said replace the Aux battery first then clear the code and if that code comes back then start looking at other areas like I mention "Cruise control master switch, clock spring, etc.)

so buddy, fixed ! Ive noticed that lever from cruise control is not moving as it should. Turned car off and moved manytimes up and down, now it works perfectly.
