Correct Tire Pressure For GLE 350 (W166)
From the door sticker, it says 45 for front tires and 48 for rear. But I just feel it is too high. From other posts, I see people suggest to put 40. Wondering what is the right pressure I should put, should I just simply follow the door sticker? My car has 20-inch wheels.

Don't you have different pressures for light and heavy load?
I remember about 35 front for light load and 39 rear.

There was a discussion about this while back where the door jamb and fuel tank cover were different. If I remember the fuel cover was more accurate. I see if I can find that thread and post the link.
I'm running the 20" wheels wrap with 265/45/20 tires. I keep mine at 38psi for the front, 42psi for the rear and the spare at 60psi. I have the tow package.

My owner's manual it says the label on the fuel door governs: "The tire pressure table is on the inside of the fuel filler flap. It shows the tire pressure for all tires permitted at the factory for this vehicle ..."
I've been using those guidelines since I bought the truck new and have gotten excellent life from my tires as well as a comfortable ride and decent handling.

This is what label on my fuel door says.
Always loved "For driving above 100 mph" note

2017 GLE350 4MATIC
I ran 50psi all around on my 2017 GLE350 with steel spring suspension. I was looking for more tire life and firmer handling. I can't say it improved tire life, and it possibly had a small effect on handling.

Tire Pressure
The correct tire pressure is inside the fuel door. Door decal 45 psi and fuel door is 35psi. 45 psi makes the vehicle ride terrible. The door sticker is a generic pressure, but the fuel door pressure is the correct one. I got sick and tired of the idiots at the dealership putting the wrong pressure in my tires. So, I printed a sticker with the correct pressures and a note to go look at the fuel door. I put the sticker over the decal on the door frame.

Tire pressure and summer temperature
I set my pressures at 41 and 44 for the front and back respectively.
I noticed yesterday... the outside temp was 84 and my tires got to 51 psi in the rear..
i had about 400 lbs load well distributed in the car.
I was a little concerned about possible blow-up because of the 7psi expansion.
should I be concerned?
