2019 GLE 400 Using oil extractor for a oil change

Hello all,

I have a 2019 GLE 400 V6 twin turbo.

Looking into doing an oil change for this SUV does anyone know if I'm able to use an Oil Extractor through the dip stick? My extractor is a Mity-Vac.

I heard some models or cars are not recommended because you can't get all of the oil out (a couple of quarts not OZs left in the vehicle) Also most AMG models are advised to drain it through the oil pan plug I've read. I have a 2005 Nissan Frontier and tried to extract it through it's dip stick and it wasn't able to suck all the oil out leaving a couple quarts left so i had to drain it through the oil pan. However I have a 2003 E320 and was able to suck all the oil out changing it for this car. Mixed results here.

Thank you!

Yes, WIS actually calls for top extraction for the M276. Suction the engine oil from the dipstick all you want : )

Yeah, not a problem. Just make sure the oil is nice and warm so it flows faster.

After driving the car or warming up the oil should I wait 10-15mins for all the oil to drain down before extracting?

Any where I can find instructions on how to reset the service indicator?

Not needed, it will take more time than that to get the oil out.

I forgot to mention in regards to opening the workshop menu. You need to make sure, hood is closed, doors closed, liftgate closed, windows closed, foot off the brake, key in postion 1, screen shows the trip/odometer then perform the button sequence in the video. If keyless start, foot off brake press the ignition button once to put it in position 1. As well as prefer to take key out of pocket and if there is a marked spot, put it there.
