GLE43 Coupe - Little Known and Hidden Features
1. Ever wondered how to go directly to the 360 degree cameras without navigating through menus? The cameras automatically turn on in Reverse, but what about when you're going "forward". A simple "long" press of the "Vehicle" button on the upper center console is all it takes. This is handy for those times when you're pulling forward into a parking space or entering a tight garage doorway.
2. What do you do when you're unloading your car at the airport, you have your hands full and you need a place to temporarily hang your garment bag? Use the built-in coat hook on the edge of the rear tailgate.
3. Want to secure those annoying plastic grocery bags in the cargo area so the contents don't wind up rolling all over the place? Just use the bag hooks on either side of the cargo area. Push the indent and they swing open.
4. Hot summer days can be murder on the contents of your glove box. Open the glove box vent on the ceiling of the compartment and let the air conditioner cool the contents.
5. Just beneath the right rear passenger's seat you'll find a handy 115V power outlet similar to what you'd find at home. You can power a laptop, gaming console, battery charger, etc. Just make sure the power consumption of the device doesn't exceed 150 watts.

If you don't mind, I'll add something.
6. Don't be using siri, example speaking to siri to write out a text or starting to search for directions and put the car into reverse before you hit send or go. It will cancel everything out and you have to start over.
Thanks for the others!

Or we can add that the parking braked will automatically set and release itself.
And if the car is in D and you open the driver's door, the car will go into P and set the brake.
All good tips!

Does MB have a way to program performing common functions with 1 touch ?
I'd always assumed you needed to turn on the vehicle power by pressing the Start/Stop button once in order to turn on COMAND. You don't. COMAND will turn on without first turning on the ignition. In fact, you don't even need the SmartKey in the car with you. My SmartKey was in a completely different part of the house and COMAND turned on as usual. This is so handy. Many times I've needed to turn on COMAND to check music I've just downloaded to the USB drive, but I didn't have the key with me. Now, I don't even need it.
When you press the "Mute" button on the steering wheel while playing media, it not only mutes the music, it pauses it too. So when you unmute the music, it picks up right where you left off. You don't miss any of the music. On most cars, when you press "Mute", it silences the audio, but the music still continues to play.
Now, if only MB would add a volume bar on the display, I'd be completely happy.
You know, at the end of the day, it's one of them things that probably doesn't matter a whole lot. If the musics too loud turn it down. If it's too soft, turn it up.
BUT, I just don't know where I am on the range!!! I WANT TO KNOW THAT!!! Why is this such a hard feature to add to the screen???
They can design a car that drives and parks itself, but they can't put a simple volume bar on the display?
I don't like to drive around with the seats back and it's unsightly for the next adult rider to see the seat so reclined when they get in.
My BMW and Audi did this from the driver's seat, Mercedes should have it too.

Yes, it would be nice if MB had that feature as well. It might be a good idea to suggest it to them. That's how improvements are made, through consumer input. In the mean time, you can do like I do. I have the "third" memory button on the passenger side programmed to driver's seat symmetry. I just press that button after anyone who's adjusted the seat to a bizarre angle gets out.
This may be a newer model thing though, as I'm not sure that my wifes GLE350 does this. Only my Coupe..

Thanks for all of the Easter Eggs guys!
