Amazon Lowering Modual
Evening All,
Quick question. I am doing a lot of reading and finding comments here and there about members who have the modual. Whoever has it or has had it, can you please reply with your opinions and experience with the device (positive/negative). I am wanting it but would like to hear some feedback before getting it. Also after lowering with the modual is an alignment required?
Thanks,
Milic

Just starting my investigation into this as well...
so far found.... but chart stops at 2017... not sure if 2018 is any different than 2017 ? hhhhmmmm
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-MERCED...1982#vi-ilComp
unsure if alignment will be an issue as well... more things to look into...

depends on how low you set it at to be honest. I had mine lowered -40 mm with the module for the last 7-8 months and I did not see any abnormal inner wear when i swapped out to winters last week.

how many miles did you put on it ?
1.5 inches so a reasonable drop...
gpnna have to do so photoshop...
The white ML63 looked good at stock height, this GLE63s in all black shows the gap more than i remember...

Maybe off topic somewhat, but still related to tire to fender gap reduction.
An alternative to actual lowering (via links or via much more expensive module) is to increase sidewall's hight.
Since 295/35-20 tires supplied as OEM from the factory are all 200-220 UTQG and do not last more than 8K-10K miles, consider replacing them with 285/40-20 or 295/40-20(GL/GLS OEM size). There are several 400+ UTQG rated summer (soft compound tires same as OEM) tires which will last about twice as much as OEM tires, or up to 20K miles.
The benefit reasons are:
1. Provides better (not softer, just more compliant) ride while offering much better protection to expensive wheels, while totally preserving car's handling on the road (track its a bit different),
2. Several choices for summer compound with double UTQG rating than stock,
3. Finally and to the topic, because of up to 1" higher diameter than stock, reduction of wheel gap between top of the tire and bottom of the fender of up to 12mm or 1/2" is achieved (all without needing for lowering) and most importantly, in my experience, no alignment necessary.
"Side effects" - speedo is off so speeding ticket is more likely when traveling at slightly above posted speeds and if tracking the car (not a track car IMHO) then and only then higher sidewall will negatively, but only so slightly, will effect laps.

I tried to order the module from Ken of Lomo and he told me that 2019's have a firewall which prohibits the module from communicating with the system...

Ordered one from Egor and was promised fast shipping- two weeks later still no module. Has anyone else have this issue with Egor and shipping time? I have opened a paypal dispute just in case. Thanks

I can vouch for him, i had placed an order for my GLE63 early feb, and it took 2-3 weeks, if you track the EMS package, mine was stuck in US customs for 2 weeks. Not sure why because i also ordered downpipes from RSE which came from Russia, and those arrived way faster.
