Next time crop it and zoom in so one can actually make out what it is, but yes as said above, as far as I can tell from the tiny, blurry pic of it, it's the indicator of when the engine runs on 4 cylinders to save fuel.

That's definitely cylinder deactivation to V-4. It's because the car always defaults to "Comfort" mode on startup and that mode forces V-4 upon you whenever it can.
Avoid it at all costs by customizing under "Individual" drive mode and choose "Sport", plus other "Comfort" settings therein in order to mimic a "Comfort" drive.
No automobile manufacturer ever has been successful in establishing that this feature (and the dreaded auto start/stop function), is good in any way for the long term health of your engine, especially the valvetrain and cam lobes of the deactivated cylinders, starter, or any other related components.

Cylinder deactivation Symbol
On my 22 S580 there is no notification when the cylinders deactivate and it is listed as standard "equipment". In my GLE the manual states the eco start stop must be enabled for it to function but that is not true as it does when disabled and in comfort mode. I can hear the difference in the engine sound when it enables on the AMG but not the S580. Then again in the S580 I can rarely tell it actually has an ICE it is so smooth and quiet
