I considered upgrading the rear taillights as well, but they are not plug-and-play like the headlights. The facelift tails require wiring modifications because the brake light and turn signals are separated, while U.S. pre-facelift cars combine them. They also have DRLs, which cannot be programmed on pre-facelift models.

Got it, thanks for the detailed explanation. Definitely sounds like the taillight retrofit is way more involved than the headlights. I do think the facelift taillights look a bit more futuristic, though. Appreciate the info!
