I'm a fan as well, very sporty looking colour especially in magno form.

Most Mercedes that I see on the road are black or white. This paint really stands out.

Yes! That is the color, I am already in love. All my MBs to this point have been black, time for a change I guess.

For sure, if it was a regular model MB, silver fits as well because it is a classy colour but with a 53 you want a more sporty colour.

Exactly, I,'m not sure if I've ever seen a GLE coupe in that color, which 22" wheels would you say looks better with that exterior color? Also what color should the seats be and are you a fan of red seat belts?

Red seatbelts can bring up the mood. I mean you buckle up and ready for action that type of thing. It is again personal preference as for selenite grey it is not exclusive to 53 vehicles, GLE 450 also has that as an option.https://nafta.starconnect-ce.i.merce...900&height=480

The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe introduces several significant updates over the 2025 model, primarily transitioning from a mild-hybrid to a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. Here's a detailed comparison:🔋 Powertrain & Performance
  • 2025 GLE 53 Coupe: Equipped with a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six engine paired with a mild-hybrid system, it produces 429 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Luxury Cars
  • 2026 GLE 53 Coupe: Upgrades to a plug-in hybrid system combining a 443-hp version of the 3.0L inline-six engine with a 134-hp electric motor, totaling 536 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. This setup reduces the 0–60 mph time to 4.6 seconds.
⚡ Electric Capability
  • 2025 Model: Features a mild-hybrid system that provides brief electric assistance but lacks the ability to drive solely on electric power.
  • 2026 Model: Incorporates a 31.2 kWh battery enabling all-electric driving at speeds up to 87 mph. While official electric-only range figures are pending, estimates suggest approximately 45–50 miles. Motor1.comevtable.com
🛠️ Chassis & Suspension
  • 2025 Model: Utilizes AMG Ride Control+ air suspension with adaptive damping.
  • 2026 Model: Retains the AMG Ride Control+ system but includes enhancements such as revised front bump stops, new rear dampers, and updated chassis tuning to accommodate the additional weight of the hybrid components. Car and Driver
🖥️ Interior & Technology
  • 2025 Model: Features the MBUX infotainment system with standard displays and functionalities.
  • 2026 Model: Adds hybrid-specific displays to the MBUX system, including charging status, electric range, and battery temperature indicators. Caricos
🚗 Exterior Design
  • 2025 Model: Maintains a traditional AMG aesthetic without hybrid-specific elements.
  • 2026 Model: Introduces subtle design changes such as hybrid-specific badging on the fenders and tailgate, and an additional front fascia opening to direct airflow to the new heat exchanger. Carscoops
💰 Pricing & Availability
  • 2025 GLE 53 Coupe: Starts at $92,150 MSRP. Luxury Cars
  • 2026 GLE 53 Coupe: Pricing has not been officially announced, but expectations place it near or above $100,000 due to the advanced hybrid technology.
I ordered a 2025 GLE53 SUV to avoid tariffs and PHEV. Still waiting for mine, but agree with all the posts. Need to test drive, it’s a totally different car from the 450. I’m in the same area as you.

Ya I think the biggest issue right now for OP is not being able to test one I suggest OP trying a different dealership if this one keeps unwilling to offer a GLE 53 for test driving being a potential customer.

It took me almost 3 months to find an ARC-equipped 53, and then I had to get permission from the individual who had special ordered the car, but he did let me drive it with the stipulation that his salesperson accompany me. I didn't want to do an acceleration test because I had driven a 53 - I just wanted to experience the suspension. It was worthwhile and it stole me away from a Cayenne with PDCC and rear steer.

An alternative might be to try to find an AMG 63s to experience the seating, interior and handling, but be aware that ARC is standard with them. At least it was.
Don't push too hard on the loud pedal or the temptation to spend an extra 20 or 30k might be too great.

The seats on a 53 are definitely different from a 450. In that regard, I miss my 2020 450 seating for road trips. That's why I specified the Napa diamond stitching, because it adds another level of comfort.
OTOH at the track, the 53 seats are barely enough at 1G. I have to deflate the lumbar support bladders completely in order to get almost enough side bolster.

If the shopper is near Southern Colorado, I can let him drive mine.

Very nice did you know that person, that was kind of that individual to let you test drive a feature on their car that I assume the vehicle was paid for?

Look at the pictures I posted above and make a decision. Personally, I think the black wheels are overdone and have been too popular for too long, so I avoided the Night Pkg. Both pictures have 22" wheels, one in black and the other in silver. Others love the black wheels. With the grey, they both work.

I didn't know him. The car was brand new, not yet delivered, less than 10 miles.
He must have trusted my Salesman, who trusted me. It was a kind gesture on a car he hadn't even seen yet. A benefit of developing a relationship with a Dealership.

It was a Coupe, the first one I'd ever been in, and I learned that I didn't fit well.
I needed the SUV size for towing an hauling, although for fun driving, the shorter wheelbase and lighter weight of the coupe was tempting.

I kind of like the red seat belts but as you said the black wheels would be overkill. In the pictured you have posted, I really liked the silver 22" wheels.
I am still driving the loaner (GLE 350) and comparing it to my GLE 43 AMG coupe. Noticed that in both 350 and 450, when I have the radio a little bit on a higher volume, under my left foot starts vibrating. Also, when the car speed is around 60-62, I have been hearing a siren noise like an ambulance is coming from a distance. After a couple of days I found out this is the noise that the car makes and actually there is no ambulance coming from far away! On both cars, the driver door doesn't close with the first or second try. I have to shut it really hard otherwise it would remain open. Overall, the quality of these 2025 ones are nothing like the older model that I have. Now, having said that, when I find a dealer that has a 2025 GLE AMG coupe that I can try, I will see how those will be and keep you all posted.

I see, then don't get night package so you won't get darken wheels. Forgot but does the 53 also come with yellow seatbelts?

Siren noise? Bent wheel? Tires? Tire pressure issue? Differential? Wheel bearing? Alignment? A passenger? Could be many things.

Yup, look forward to hearing you testing a GLE 53, hopefully you find one soon.

Ok looks like only 63 models can get yellow or silver seatbelts. The former is not available on the GLE at all.

Another thing I can think of being a siren noise is actual siren noise from a device, like the emergency alert system. https://www.fcc.gov/emergency-alert-system They usually do testing from time to time.

It could also be a notification noise from a device or something?

That is absolutely awesome, very kind gesture indeed. Good of that vehicle's owner and your salesperson, fair to say you had build rapport with him over the years?

Thank you so much for your comments, I paid more attention to the sound and it starts at around 27 mph, it might have something to do with the mild-hybrid capability, not sure. It's a very faint noise, like an ambulance siren from far far away.
