Privacy, Location Sharing, Transmit Vehicle Position menu, need it, or delete it?

"Transmit Vehicle Position" Menu is not available in their cars, this means:
The driver has no such option, if driver don’t want his position to be sent to Mercedes, Sorry you have to do so. Mercedes always knows where is the car.
But for other regions of the world like Europe or China, Mercedes car has this menu: so driver / owner has this menu to turn “location sharing” off.
So this has two different scenarios now:
Scenario 1:
The car was driven by a driver only: owner want to know the car location anytime he want: he don’t want the driver to turn off this “location sharing”: we can turn it off this menu. Then no one in the car can turn it off.
Scenario 2:
Owner is the driver all the times: but Mercedes me app has more users like spouse or boss, he need some privacy sometimes: we can activate this menu on so you can turn “location sharing” on or off when you need.
Which one you like?
This menu is located:
Setting, system, Wi-fi & Bluetooth
Or
Setting, System, Privacy
Do check yours now

Cheers!

Just make sure every option under these 3 categories are turned off.
For instance, under safety and service I have forwarding of vehicle data to third parties turned off.
If you’re an Adulterer, you may want to think about your life choices. If you don’t want your wife knowing you’re at the golf course or bar, grow a pair and have a conversation about men’s inherent need for male bonding, especially if you’re the bread winner and work your but off. If you’re paranoid about the government or just believe in your right to absolute freedom, a modern car isn’t for you. With everything turned off they can still get you. The cute little button OP showed in the MBUX can easily be remotely overwritten by Merc.
Also, what the heck’s going on in Singapore, this is a funny post to say the least

My post is just sharing this menu item in MBUX is missing in Canada spec cars, but available in other regions, I don't know the reason. I did not state which is good or bad, and stated two situations, some like it, and some no.

If you just don’t want the vehicle to show up on the map in the app then that button is fine.
If you don’t want Mercedes or the Government knowing where your vehicle is…Good luck cause it ain’t gonna happen without some serious coding and module removal.
This quote from Mercedes says the cruise control is helped by GPS to know when corners or intersections are coming up to help adjust speed. It’s hard to escape new vehicles from being tracked. “The system also works seamlessly with the navigation system to predict upcoming curves, intersections, or roundabouts, adjusting speed accordingly.”
If you’re an extremely private person, new vehicles should be avoided. A ‘73 Chevy square body is the way to go, but with all the plate readers and cameras everywhere, we’re pretty much screwed regardless lol.

These you mentioned are location based features: like vehicle get the location then the car behave differently. All these won’t be affected, and not related to the topic.
I mean what “all location based service” in the Canada Mercedes me app? So once the driver turn off “Transmit Vehicle Position”, what might be affected? What I noticed is the me app user won’t be able to get the vehicle position, nothing else.
What is the purpose of the extra menu in MBUX since there is such option in the Mercedes me app? Why car from other region got it, why Canada spec don’t have it?

Edit: I think I've broken your Profile riddle (Location - Yours to discover) when you confirmed your Canadian presence....

Some don't care, because "Hey, I have nothing to hide!"... the fools...
