Yesterday was the day to buy a GLK
Last day of the month, last day of the quarter, great day to buy a GLK.
2010 GLK 4matic:
Heated Seats
P01 Prem Pkg
Multimedia pkg
Sport Appearance Pkg - 20" rims, Aluminum Roof Rails
iPod/mp3 interface cable
MSRP $45,285
Invoice $42,247
Purchase price $42,000
Plus they gave me $3k additional value for my trade(2006 c230 sport 25k miles) bringing the effective price to $39,000
They also gave me .9% for 66 months(not a typo really .9%) so I'm only paying around $700 in interest for 5 1/2 years of financing. With no money down, only my trade that had $4034 balance on the loan, my payments are $466/month.
And to add another layer of icing to the cake, I'm going to get $1753 (sales tax) refunded to me next year when I file my taxes. Which brings the price down to $37,247.
This is for my wife, but it is really nice. I'm so excited about getting such a nice 2010 luxury vehicle for such a good deal.

I think price could have been even lower in March with 2k rebate when you get PP and MM. I was quoted 47.3k care for 42.6k now it's 44k. I'm gonna ask about this .9 financing. What state are you in?

The MB dealers always can take off 1% from the advertised rates. They will not do it willingly because it's part of their profit. When I purchased my 2006 c230 the promo rate was 2.9% but I got 1.9% for 36 months($1011/month). So this time getting .9% for 66 months($466/month) makes my payments less than 1/2.
I live in Illinois.

interesting...in my case sales guy wasn't even then one look/apprasing my trade in, somebody else did and told him the price. He was like, yea looks like you'll have to sell in on your onw or take a hit.
I'll try to see what I can do about financing, I have a feeling they won't bulge, but worth a try. The dealer is in NJ and I think demand might be higher around here.
Anyways congrats on your deal. So do you have the car now? Post some pics.

dealer financing can vary. They could have given you 0.9% if they were making the 1% interest upfront with the sales price. It all depends how the dealer can make the money on the back or front.

I bought from a high volume dealer in Chicago. They like to squeeze in as much sales as possible in month end, especially when incentives are going to expire.
Thank you and good luck hunting for your own. It is very nice, you will like it. I brought it home the same day.
Here are some pics(look at the size difference between my other truck and the GLK, they are both lined up in the back):

Typically you would be right, but I did get the car 3K below invoice & .9%. So I don't think they made anything in the back or front. I think this was essentially cost after all consumer & dealer incentives applied.

btw, I'm so curious about the side door panel lights. There is a red "reflector" underneath the door, does it light up for you?

GLK 350 AWD Steel Grey/Black Interior (3/18/09); E63AMG (5/5/2011)
I couldn't stand it any longer so I took it apart. Nothing behind it but looked like there was room.
Maybe as part of one of the premium interior lighting package it lights up?

Is this another ploy to keep the price point of GLK down?
