dude seriously you are making me regret getting silver. Can you post pics of some scratches and dirt on it so I feel a little better about my "practical" choice?

white and black are magnets for dirt and dust!!! silver always looks clean. after every wash i break out a small rag to get into all the crevices, and around the "glk350" and "4matic" letters. i guess i'm **** when it comes to cleaning!! i have a harley davidson v-rod that gets wiped down before and after every ride. all the chrome!!

Actually white is not soo bad. I had white car and then over time it just becomes slightly beige so till you touch it you don't notice how dirty it actually is. Also you can't see salt on while as you do on black. And lastly I had my car keyed fender to fender, but since primer underneath the paint was white, you really had to look to see the scratch. I was considering white GLK.

Ya. Nothing beats black, they are the worst with dust., I consider detailing my second job. Did I mention my bimmer is also black?

Sometimes I wish I had house just for that or some extra $$$ to get car washed and detailed often enough so it stays nice and clean.
Actually can you post some pics of you bimmer detailed. I'm curious to see how black ages. Another reason I didn't get black is that I heard that if you start washing it all the time, black color starts "washing away," and it also shows little scrtches and dents that you accumulate over life of the car. But I never owned a black car so I have no idea. I know that my friend's car is never black as he washes it maybe a few times a year.
