Unhappy Road Noise Louder After Getting Windows Tinted

Has anyone else experienced this problem.

I just had my 2 front windows tinted and now it seems that I hear more road noise than before when I travel about 65 mph?

there was no difference in road noise for me either. hey sean does the 20% match the back exactly? i had 30% put on knowing it was going to be lighter than the back, and texas legal limit is 35%. but i think with the large windshield, pretty large driver and pass. windows, and pano roof(shades closed), it looks to light. i am considering going to have 20% put on. do you have a daylight pic of the tint from different angles? since you have arctic white also.

Close your eyes for a few minutes and notice how much more acute your hearing becomes.

Defiinitlly a sign you went too dark

Is it possible that with tinted window, you cannot see when you are driving on unpaved road? Just kidding...

I have found no difference after my tint. Is it possible that they cut some of the weather stripping/seal when they trimmed the sheet of tint?

BTW, 20% matches perfectly with the factory tint.

When they tint do they have to remove the glass? Maybe they didn't do good job putting glass back and forgot or didn't properly install insulation?

no the tint is just cut to fit the window. it's pretty hard to do, and to get it to look right with no air bubbles. it's a *****!

If the shop is experienced, they should be able to install the film edge to edge without removing the glass or any interior panels.

I watched them do it on my car and it turned out great. The best $75.00 I've spent!

75 is pretty cheap, I wish front tints were legal in NJ, I'd do it for 75 bux too.

Yup 20% matches perfectly! Makes the ride look really sharp too. I'll take some pics when it stops raining over here. It's Like Gotham City....lol

Was that the only thing done or did you change your wheels/rims as well?

Not sure about the % tint (Either 20% or 35%; whichever is lighter of the two), Lighter than the back tint

I was gonna go darker but am happy with this shade already

Did a good job matching the car's original tint though. From a distance it looks the same. Sharp looking car.

well i finally changed tint. i had 30% on the driver and pass. and did not like it. i now have 20% and it looks so much better. it does match the rear windows perfectly! once i get the it cleaned i take some photos.
