Factory Bi-Xenon Question

I have the factory bi-xenon package on my GLK. How come the lights look kind of yellowish?

Also, there are other two lights that are completely yellow. Can I change those two bulbs at all?

well xenon light is 4300K, which is optimal for light output but not as blueish. I think blue tint also depends on a lens. Not sure what other lights you mean but they are regular bulbs and can be switched out for brighter/whiter bulbs.

This is what mine looks like

This seems to be the number one complaint about MB's Xenon lights. Its a cosmetic thing, as the lights them self are quite good, but they just don't have that "expensive, I've paid extra for these lights" look.

Well the main headlights are not yellow, they are more of a whitish blue. The only yellow lights are the corner turn in lights that are standard halogen yellow in colour. If they are yellow then they can't be HID lighting. Do they do a self leveling when you start up?

xenons are pretty blue when car starts up, then they turn white as bulbs heat up but no way I would call that yellow.

For those who want blue, there is simple answer, 6000k or 8000k bulbs, but you sacrifice light output with those.

luv the bi-xenons. luv it when the light dances during start up.

NYCGLK, you're right anything more than 4.4K, you lose the light factor.

Why would anyone pay a grand to change colours?

I like the swivel feature when driving on dark curvy roads...oh and the fact that you can see pretty well compared to halogens.

I was told by dealer that the xenon lights are 4300K and they do have very little yellowish color because 4300K provides the best output.

I want to change the one that's circled in the picture because mine is yellowish on those. What type of bulbs are those? Can I change them?

I know this is a dumb question but does anyone know how to take the turn signal bulb out of the holder? I want to change that bulb from amber to a white bulb (but that still flashes in amber) so I don't have that "fried egg" look. I know how to access the turn signal bulb and remove it from it's location but getting it out of that holder is my problem. It's probably simple but I don't want to break anything. Thanks!
