$200 parts and labor. give or take a bit. you need to order: part number 10790. Magnaflow-X-Pipe-TRU-X-Stainless 2.25in. then take it to a exhaust place and get the to remove the resonator and replace with the x pipe.
look for c class x-pipe sound clips on youtube.

Direct Injection is what it says direct injections into the chamber.
First application on MB came out in 1954 on 300SL. Any toyota from 90's has direct injection. What newer cars have now is different variations of direct injection, because the way you spray gas into the chamber makes a difference when it's burnt.
