22 inch tire???
I just got my 22 inch rims for my GLK. What size tires should I get? I was planning on 265/35/22 but at the store they say MB says 255/35/22. Also is the brand of tire a big deal for light in town driving during the summer. Any feedback from 22 owners would be great.

search, but I think ppl with 22s have 265's. As long as offset and rim width are correct should be fine with 265. I think brand of tire makes a huge difference.
I had low profile summer Kumho tires on 18 inch wheel on my old car. I had to replace 3 of them over 3 years due to tire bubbles. But they were cheap 100-dollar summer tires. C-class rental with 3k miles and Conti tire had also a huge tire bubble. So I got sucked into getting tire insurance for GLK, but stock 20 inch Pirelli Scorpions have been amazing so far (14 monts/12k miles on crappy roads and not problems knock on wood). There are also tires with warranty agains bubbles (Yokohamas?) but they are also more money.
You guys with 22s are crazy, I wish I had 17's so I can just run over crap and not worry about curbs and potholes.

Thanks i thought 265 was ok. Rim width is 8.5 and offset is 30 that should work. They are almost too much for me but i got a great deal and roads are ok around here.

8.5? Aren't stock 20's 8.5? and they come with 235. Although 255 would be better choice for those rims imo.
Let us know how they fit, I want to put 255 on stock rims to give rim a bit more protection, but front wheels are so close to strut that I might have to use spacers.

you will need to take the TPMS out of your factory rims and mount them in the new 22's, or else your tire pressure light will be on all the time. btw, i had to run 255/35/22 because of my 35 offset on an 9" wide rim. 265's on an 8.5" rim might give you a balloony/offroad look. that's a pretty wide tire and a narrow rim.
